chevysoldier
Since I commute more than ride the twisties, I'm down to the cords. Currently I have the BT014, opted to go with the Shinko Podium this time. Also went from 150/60R18 to the OE of 140/160R18. I hope these last longer. chevysoldier
I was gonna go out today for a short ride but my wife saw this. I just checked it yesterday and it wasn't showing. 20 miles for work wore it out.
Tonik
I was gonna go out today for a short ride but my wife saw this. I just checked it yesterday and it wasn't showing. 20 miles for work wore it out.I went down to the dragon a couple of years ago with a guy. He lives a little south of me so I met him at 18 and 71. I pull in, get off my bike and look at his tire and say 'Dude, do you really think that tire is going to make it. This will be 1500 miles or so before we are done'. 'Sure no problem', he says. 500 miles later we park that night at our hotel in Alcoa and his back tire looked like yours does above. He went out and had new ones put on the next morning while I did Dragon laps. chevysoldier
Meanie...Got it on and it feels great. Handles better in the turns than the BT014 IMO.
Gixxus Christ!
I have bt 014 on my fizzer and it handles great, I thought shinko was a cheap Chinese brand?
chevysoldier
I have bt 014 on my fizzer and it handles great, I thought shinko was a cheap Chinese brand? It was $94, not a whole lot cheaper than the BT014s. I had researched the Shinko a while back, the reviews were pretty good. This should last longer than the BT since its not as soft a compound. I don't race so its not a big deal. I'm going to keep track of the mileage which I forgot to do on the BT.It turns tighter/easier now due to the smaller size, which I'm liking a lot.
