scottie.harris
Im trying to figure out what exact model of the 870 i have, the serial number(so i believe, its on the side) is RS80215E. Any help on the model or how to find out the model is appreciated. I bought it from wally world and they just labeled it as tactical 870. cOoTeR
Does it say super mag express? Take a pic of all engravings. What size chamber?
scottie.harris
Other than the serial number it says "Remington 870" and on the barrel it says "12GA. 2 3/4" OR 3". Doesnt say super mag anywhere.
cOoTeR
My guess would be an 870 express magnum. but they usually say express magnum near the serial number. Edited April 14, 2012 by cOoTeR
crb
It may be a special model only availble to walmart. What does the box say?
scottie.harris
box says "Remington 870 - Express - Synthetic" The label at the counter said "tactical 870" so im confused at to which exact model i have
cOoTeR
What size barrel is that? 18.5?
crb
I believe its tactical because it had the synthetic stock instead of wood and shorter barrel I'm guessing. It's just a remington express

cOoTeR
Sounds like a basic 870 express with synthetic stock/fore grip and an extended magazine tube.
crb
It's not the tactical model. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model-870/model-870-express-tactical.aspxMy guess is you have this model : http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model-870/model-870-express-tactical-grey.aspx Edited April 14, 2012 by crb

crb
Mised the flash supressor. Special wslmart model.
cOoTeR
Tactical is probably referring to the short barrel and extended tube. It's probably an old model that's why it doesn't have the surpressor.
scottb
It looks like the Remington 870 Express model 25077, which is refered to in the walmart link. Here is the link for the model 25077 from Remington's site:http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model-870/model-870-express-synthetic-7-round.aspxPic:This is the model I have, the Remington website indicates the barrel is 18 1/2, but the box the shotgun is shipped in from Remington indactes 18 inch barrel on the label. bandit12
I have a friend with this one, it is identical to yours only with digital camo stocks. Being that it is called the Talo Edition maybe yours has an add on name to the tactical model.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-TwFOLg_Y4
bandit12
Here you go Remington 870 model 5077, Gallery of guns link.http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=5077&mfg=Remington&mdlno=870+ExpressI guess if yours has an 18 1/2 inch barrel it would be this one from Davidson's model DAV-5077, just my guesses.http://jabtac.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=242_248_311_312&products_id=1580Also note that the Davidson's model list 18" and in a different spot it lists 18.5" barrel. scottb
I went and looked at my Remington 870, and I have the same foregrip as the OP and it is a model 25077. I suspect the picture on the remington webiste for the 25077 has a different foregrip maybe due to production change?
