Yup they are black now, just Stanley L brackets from lowes, drilled out it accept the stud. I used black tape to form a " boot" on the back side while I search for a rubber boot.

I looked at these as well, but 100 watts put a hurting on the fz1's charging system. Mine are only 1.5 watts each.

Truedat......I wanted to put a pair on the wife's V Star but held off because of her charging system.

Sorry, thought you made the brackets. Had a couple ideas today. I'll get some heavy heatshrink tubing to waterproof the hollow stud and wiring behind the bracket, and also scan the warehouse tomorrow and see what we have that might work for a water tight boot to use on those too. Will get ya samples, there are some varying sizes of grommets we carry to run mirror harnesses through exterior door panels, should seal up nicely if the sizes match.
