Josh1234
Buying a bike, riding it for a year, and then selling it for profit is a good way to gain experience on different types of bikes, although there IS something to be said for familiarity. Bought a bike, rode it for 3 months, and sold it for profit. Sold my Ninja 500R this weekend. Originally had it listed at $3,000 on Craigslist, but lowered that to 2700 or 2800, and then lowered it again to 2500. I accepted $2,250 for it. I paid $1,500 for it. I had it about 3 months and 1,300 miles. It was an '03 with about 10K miles on it, on near-mint condition. All in all, a VERY fun bike that I found to be capable and extremely low-maintenance. As in, it didn't ask a whole lot of me, I could just hop on and go. Only downside was that it had to work a LITTLE bit hard to let me have the fun I wanted to on the highway. I still have my yzf600r and she'll hopefully be back on the road again. 8.5/10 for the Ninja 500r, would own & sell for profit again
