I'm a little older, and I'll say everything, all political parties, has gone way the Hell to the left. Republicans are the new Democrats, and Democrats are the new Left. Apparently that might have a correction in the works. It might not happen this term, or even the next. But there is a middle somewhere. Don't underestimate that middle group. It just might be larger than both the left and the right. If anything, the Tea party is the new Right...

The dyno night was awesome. We even had a Busa that made 294 on the spray! Crazy! That will probably be it for events this year, but have some good things planned for next year!

Scott Brown is a moderate that his opponent should have taken more seriously. His win had zero to do with the Tea Party. I would have voted Scott Brown were I in Mass and have family that do live there and did. Yes Clinton also said, "I do think she's a resilient character. And we may be entering a sort of period in politics that's sort of fact free, where the experience in government is a negative." The Tea Party doesn't care about knowledge or real experience all they care about is different. They like to yell talking points and be angry without actually having any idea what they are being angry about. They are so bent on ousting a lot of current holders of office they aren't even considering that they are supporting people like McConnell who have no clue what they are doing and are more than likely worse than the people they are ousting.

I think the scott brown election and the mcdonnell election shows something for the yea party. That base is very energized and I think the democrats know it, so the try to discredit it. Just my opinion I guess. Bill clinton even came out today telling the democrat party to watch out for sara palin and take her seriously now, just a side note for the original topic but where this is going is good too.

I don't think Colorado is the only one. We all know there are many jacked up laws out there. But my first layer of protection is myself and that is the only one that I trust to be there when I need it.

Not really. Most all butts are made from cellulose acetate which is a form of plastic and wood pulp spun together. It started as a use in photography. Ask me how I know. The plastics mixed in with the cellulose fibers can take 10-15 years to degrade and often not completely as they are not biodegradable as no living organisms eat plastic. They breakdown when exposed to caustic chemicals, but they will never turn into soil or be consumed by living organisms. Don't believe me, then call any septic system maint. company and ask them what happens when you flush them down into a septic system. Or just look at the curb next to your favorite intersection. Especially during the spring when a full 2-3 months of snow, water salt and traffic have done nothing to them except turn them gray. Sad thing is the crap and chemicals in them end up in local water ways as it's pulled from the butts and into the sewers. You can read on the internet about them being composed, but the plastic material will never biodegrade, but will rather just break down. No different than a Pepsi bottle cracking and breaking down on the street, but it never goes away. Never mind the fact that I would never put compost laced with chemicals from cig butts around my gardens. See Jones' post about the intelligence of smokers though....they would never think that through.

Ah, so you're a free-market champion. Where are the choices in the current situation? Because I'm single, I really don't have a choice in my coverage provider, either I use my employer's benefits (with the collective bargaining power of the entire employee pool) or I go it alone (and spend probably 30x more). That's a false choice. You can't put a profit motive around the care of a human being. The two are mutually exclusive. Either the person gets the care they need, or the company withholds care in order to boost profits. You can't shop for prices when you're having a heart attack.
