The US went from being a British Colony, to a Chinese Colony in under 300 years. Meh...3 points

Don't know if this has been posted here before: Once upon a time a Prince asked a beautiful Princess to marry him. The Princess said "No!". And the prince lived happily, ever after and rode motorcycles and screwed skinny, big-titted broads, and hunted and raced cars and, went to strip clubs, and dated women half his age, and drank whiskey, and beer, and never got bitched at or had to pay child support or alimony and kept his house and guns, and never got cheated on while he was away at work, and all his friends and family thought that he was cool as hell, and he left the toilet seat up whenever he wanted... THE END.2 points

So, the situation presented itself that I would be able to try my hand at building my first AR-15, and this is the result... Started with a pile of parts and a dream. I had to build up the lower, with what started out as an RRA LPK, but since I got hosed by someone who doesn't know how to count parts when repackaging a kit, it became part Stag Arms kit as well. The first step was getting the magazine and bolt catch releases installed. Once in, we inserted the PMAG 20rd clip to test and make sure I didn't start out by already dicking things up. It went in, fit snug, and came out like a champ. Just like I like it. (insert Gen3fly joke here) Next was the trigger group, where we found out that there was no disconnector spring in my kit. A quick trip to Miami Armory got us a Stag Arms trigger group (I had to buy the whole thing), and I took out the disconnector spring and put it in my group. Everything was fine after that, and we tested the fit and function. We got the Ergo Grip on, and tested gain. Now we were ready to get the lower completed, but we realized part 2 of our LPK debacle was unfolding when we didn't have a buffer retainer or buffer retainer spring in the kit. Bastards. We called all over and actually found that Vandalia Tactical had both, and would sell them to me for $1 apiece. Jackpot. We got them in and finished the lower. Since the upper had already been test fired with the bolt carrier, we just pinned it on and got the scope & bipod on there. The guys that test fired the gun put the YHM floating quad rail on there and the fit and alignment with the A3 upper rail was great, so the scope rings went on without a problem. Here's the ol' girl all ready to go. Now I just need a nice spring weekend day to go throw some lead, and we'll see how she does. The match-grade SS bull barrel should make some decent groups, so I'm aching to see the results. Just need some dark earth rail panels for the sides and bottom and I'll be all done.1 point

The mess of it is - even with the talk of 4 trillion by BO or 6 trillion cuts by the Republicans over 10 years, that is still an annual trillion dollar deficit spending. So, the 14.2 trillion debt keeps going up. The current federal revenue is roughly at 2.2 trillion. And the interest on the debt annually at the moment is 413 billion - at about 18 percent of revenue. Money pissed into the wind. You can figure that revenue will go up at a 2-3% but the debt and interest are going up at a faster rate than that. So there is a convergence of revenue and interest. The interest will creep up as a percentage of revenue. 20%, 25% etc. Now, I'm not smart enough to say, but somewhere in there - (30%? 40%?) the world banks, countrys, i.e. China will decide that the Americans are full of it and can only default and will not buy Treasurys or lend the US any more money. That will very ugly. It will make the last recession look like a party. That's the current slow train we are on. It may be 12 or 18 years out, but we are moving that way. So, Democrat or Republican, its time you kick your senator or representative in the backside and tell them to get real on spending reductions.1 point

Would you quote www.good.is in a thesis paper? www.crooksandliars.com? The op-ed section of The Economist? I might quote the Guardian, maybe. I would quote the New York Times, and that was really the only non-biased article he posted. It's quite true, doing nothing would help, a lot. If Congress doesn't extend the Bush tax cuts, revenue will obviously go up. As well, if they do nothing, there will be no increases in spending and the debt ceiling won't be raised. Is it the best solution? Probably not. Would it be effective? Yup.1 point

You can argue all you want about who is to blame, or what we should do, but the situation is that the ship is sinking, and we're all on our way down. It's too late to patch things. Thank you greedy worthless politicians and people of the last 100 years. I will have nothing to leave my kids unless they learn Chinese.1 point

I don't want to sound like a dick, but why would Todd give anyone a refund or credit unless the track itself is refunding money to Moto Series? I am not privy to the specifics of their business relationship, but I am 100% sure Todd doesn't control the weather, and it would surprise me if Todd has any control over the condition of the track (or it's drainage). While I understand people's frustration that they couldn't make it and didn't get to ride 7 sessions; unless Moto Series is somehow responsible for maintaining the drainage at the track, blaming them (or Todd specifically) seems rather misplaced. Weather is a risk everyone takes every trackday. If you want rain insurance, ride with an org that offers it. There are a handful that do, but they charge a lot more up-front for a membership compared to Moto Series' $0 membership fee.1 point

I remember Bush saying the same thing about the Clinton surplus suddenly being gone. Let's face it NO one president had the shovel the whole time but the hole still got dug. Each one had their part and now we need to fix it. Choices are the following. 1. Drastically cut all government spending and raise taxes on everyone. 2. Pull out of every armed conflict and fire the military. 3. Sit around scratching our collective asses and act like nothing is going on. So far #3 HAS been the choice.1 point

I did....and another useless fact My name was created by my 9th grade algebra teacher. She thought I was making fun of my best friend (still is) by calling him bacon (he had this nick name since like 1st grade because he always smelled like bacon in the morning)...anyway she said what if someone called you "whaler" (last name is Taylor) all the time, how would that make you feel? We laughed and the name stuck. Some 20 years later, and there are still old acquaintances that only know me by whaler. Useless1 point

It's called "starving the beast". Give huge tax cuts to create a defecit, then claim you need to shrink the size of the gov't to recoup the loss. In the end, the businesses get tax cuts, social services get gutted, and the working people get the shaft. The perfect triple play for the modern Republican.1 point

My accident was a freak occurance where a woman pulled out in front of me and before I knew it, I was head first into a tree. Prior to this, I thought I knew what to look out for...and I also thought if I were in an accident that it would be some broken bones at most since I always wore gear. Little did I know, I would break my spine and become a paraplegic. I always thought a paraplegic was some dumb asshole who did something stupid like diving into a shallow pool. Long story short, you can learn something from others' accidents but you won't gain immunity. Crazy shit happens and you are taking a risk by getting on a bike. I was only doing 35mph and still wonder how the hell it happened so fast. I wish I could take it all back but I also think about all the great times I had on my bike. There isn't much else that top's riding...except for sex. (Little did I know riding could indirectly take most the fun out of that too)1 point

Let it bother you. But not so much that it become dangerous. Have fun in the corners. But not so much that it becomes dangerous. Feel that acceleration. But not so much that it becomes dangerous. Every time I thumb the starter I promise myself that I will do everything in my power to get home same to my wife and young son. I carry that with me on the ride. Accidents happen when someone does something unexpected. I just do my best to not be the person doing the unexpected thing. That, and I keep plenty of traction reserve in every situation I can.1 point

So you're in favor of breaking the law and unlawfully detaining citizens just because you wanted a better look at their bike? I don't doubt that the responses you've received so far were positive, but that doesn't diminish the fact that you abused your authority and broke the law. Can I motion you over just because I wanted to get a better look at the shotgun I can see between the seats?1 point

Everyone hates LEO's when they get stopped but love them when they need em... If your gonna speed be prepared to pay for it sooner or later if you can't pay for it then better buy a harley... The majority of the cops I've encountered are cool and really appreciate you being nice and polite towards them... Cut them a break and don't get all pissy when you get pulled over might just save you from getting a ticket and after all they are only doing their jobs just like everyone else1 point

Anything over 4" on the street spins I hear. But many race at the strip a lot and want to ride their bike on the street. It shouldn't bother you or anyone else at all. Makes me think about that famous line, "Worry about yourself, not others." I love that statement. I lose interest on any 600 talk or naked bike talk, but I don't complain about them. Hell, I don't like lifted trucks, but I don't give a shit about people doing it. It's their choice and freedom. Who am I to say they can't have their trucks like that? Haters love to hate I guess.1 point

Hello everyone. My name is Chris and I'm new to the site, looking to see what else is going on in the area. I currently have an Escort ZX-2 that I dd and use for RallyCross and some autocross. I've had about 15 different cars to date and three motorcycles, the most recent being an MZ Baghira 660 SuperMoto. The cars have ranged from a Country Squire to a 3cyl Metro to a couple of FB RX-7s, I'm not too picky and maybe a bit eccentric in my vehicular taste. At this point I'm a bit more into getting out and driving than long term projects and extensive modifications. Right now I'm, working on getting my grandfather's '48 Allis Chalmers G back up and running since it's been neglected for about 10 years. The Escort is not too highly modified having just a K&N intake, S/R Borla Muffler, Esslinger underdrive pulley, poly bushings and motor mounts, and a MX-3 driver's seat with Schrothe 4pt harness. I also several sets of tires for various surfaces: mud, snow, gravel, etc. It is competitive though, with a best finish to date of 2nd overall. Here's a couple of pictures of the ZX-2 in action: http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee142/cghstang/Car/20100710-worrallyx198-1.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee142/cghstang/Car/P8211430.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee142/cghstang/Car/solo1153.jpg I'll be running it some this year as well as a friend's Legacy. I can post up pictures of some of my previous vehicles if anyone is interested. Here's my photobucket albums and youtube channel if you're interested.-1 points

Hey guys, my name is Neal and I am from Ashland OH. I drive a 1986 Celica Supra that I swapped a 7MGTE into. I am still in the process of building the car and have only attacked performance first, the looks will come last since the car is not too rough for the age. I just got back from the meet, where I met quite a few CR members, had a good time talking with them, and they seemed to get along well with me. Here are some pics of my car, and a few from the meet! http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001076.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001084.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001088.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001100.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001114.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001117.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001124.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001133.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001148.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001159.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/d3001165.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/196851_159076204149385_100001410182040_363465_1026563_n.jpghttp://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/62152_117836088273397_100001410182040_130534_469416_n.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/ihateu1979/forsale_7M2.jpg And I know some of you are not gonna like this, but I do. Hello all, just kind of joining to poke around and see the community and obtain/offer advice for fellow Columbus area enthusiasts. At this time, well since 02 I have had two Toyota Supra's. Since I'm bored at work lets add to this a little. The 89 I picked up wrecked. The whole passenger side was pushed in about 6-8 inches. My father does hard body collision repair so he did all the work and we put it back on the road. Anyone who lives on the east side and more so Pickerington area I'm sure the shop he works at hes touched your car if you've had any major issues. As it sits currently it is still a stock n/a and I have zero intentions to do otherwise. The 90t I picked up from a gentlemen in NC while it had a BHG. I started to put it back together and realized I wanted to take it a different route so we tore it back down to basiclly the shell and have started to work it back up. Here shortly it should be ready to be peeped for a new fresh paint job. Then I will decide if I'm going to keep the 7M or find some final selling point on moving to a 1jz vvti engine. Still not sold at the moment. I will get pictures up when I get home or at some point this weekend, I didn't know this was a process. I saw the accepted email and ventured on over. So right now I'm stuck in this little oven box it seems. The Oh Really Info. I'm currently the Information Technology Director for The Buckeye Corner. I have been around car building my entire life, I though however ventured away from what my father has always done (chevy) and tried the import. Started and stopped at Toyota and have yet to move. I grew up in the Reynoldsburg area so if you're from there and late 20's it's a possibility I may know you. So. hi. I have nothing to prove with my cars and or builds, I do them for my self enjoyment. I have grown out of the 'try and kill myself on the highway' and I have enough tickets to due me over for quite sometime. So my main goal here is to meet some legitimate people and who have some skill sets that interest me. So without further more, hello and like I said yes.. I'll get to the pictures. Hello mjrsplat since you have already sent me a message before I could even post. Still yet to see you around. hah. (you seemed to be loved here) Better Hello if he makes it to this thread.. Hello Dover.-1 points

How's it going? My name is Kevin and I drive a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe. http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/bumper14t.jpg http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/bumper15t.jpg http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/bumper2t.jpg http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/car/motor1t.jpg I bought the car brand new in 2003 and Procharged it promptly blowing the motor with about 5k miles on it. I then sold the Procharger and built the bottom end dropping the compression. An APS TT kit for a 350Z was custom modified to fit the car. Many of the parts were 350Z parts made to fit the longer G35. Had I waited a few years they would have had G35 specific parts but oh well. Most of the work was done by Jim at Quick Rev!. The car now has about 22K miles on it and hardly ever gets driven. I currently have a massive oil leak coming from the drain hose on the drivers side turbo. Trying to get a new hose but running in to issues. I own a few small companies and work a full time job. One of the companies makes automotive electronics - http://www.kptechnologies.com. Most of the parts are geared towards Nissan/Infiniti vehicles but we do have some universal products. I also own a Verizon Wireless store right at 70 and 75. My full time job involves running a maintenance department for a large manufacturing company. Besides cars I also like to play with real estate (its nice to have stuff appreciate instead of the depreciate). I'm a member on most of the Dayton boards and some Cincy boards but never joined here for some reason.-1 points
