  1. Hello Columbus Racing forums. Name is Justin, I decided to join after finding a good number of friends and parts/performance shop employees I am familiar with are members of the site. I'm from Columbus, obviously, but more specifically the New Albany, Westerville area. I drive a 2008 Ford Mustang GT, am a Mustang fan, but share the common interest of cars. I also go to the Sawmill meets every so often. I also created a Mustang meet recently in Westerville. Mod List: Roush M90 Supercharger, Roush cold air intake, Ford Racing hot rod camshafts, Corsa Xtreme exhausts, Corsa Xpipe, Hurst short throw shifter, 18x10 Nitto NT555 tires, 18x10 Roush 5 spoke chrome rims, 14" shorty antenna, chrome interior and some exterior dress-up, GT stitched headrests, 1/4 louvers, hood scoop, side scoops, CDC classic chin, spoiler, HID GT500 headlights, sequential tail lights, 4” trunk speakers, 93 custom tune, boost fuel pump. What I'm doing next: Hood struts, billet pedals, 3.73 gears, new belt and tensioners, and welt door trim. Video of car's sound: http://s1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/?action=view&current=IMG_0294.mp4 Car photos (Fairly up to date): http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/IMG_0262.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/IMG_0271.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/IMG_0270.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/299807_161511983930103_154567881291180_328495_7103418_n.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k539/MustangShift/314717_161512170596751_154567881291180_328502_7621379_n.jpg

  5. (I'm throwing t-butt's "must be cooked in prison from prison food rule out the window) Meal: Chicago deep dish from Giordano's Arby's curly fries Jumbo, inverted 5-way and a cheese coney or 3 from Skyline One original Krispy Kreme glazed A couple Thin Mints One glass each pink lemonade and Southern sweet tea Method of death, unlisted Option #6: Cup of coffee, chased by 5 Red Bulls, all in about a minute 5 minutes, give or take, of hyper banzai banging a nubile 18 year old female until all that frenetic activity and caffeine gives me a massive coronary. Bonus, maybe: if I die on the up-stroke, I'll get a freebie when they pull me off of her.

  6. Have done some reading on here in the past and decided that I would join. I have been working in the motorcycle industry for about 10 years now, and currently work at Independent Motorsports. We have just recently done a bunch of work to a fellow members GSXR750 while he has been deployed. I dont really get into the car scene to much but love all things fast! I drive a 94 honda civic daily, no pics its really nothing special just a beater, but in the future I hope to pick something up that is a little more fun to drive, hopefully an Evo MR. I get to ride a lot of different motorcycles at work, but my favorite would probably have to be the Honda CBR600RR. I dont really get to ride as much as I would like to but when I do its always on something different http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.columbusracing.com%2Fforums%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D102807&h=5AQFVY-Ax The link is from Mojoes build project we did here at the shop. It was a very fun project and I am glad it let us be apart of it!!

  7. TBH I would rather minimize the handling of a permit holder's gun. "Where is it?" "Thank you now please do not reach for or touch it for any reason." The less a loaded gun is handled, especially if they are nervous the better. IMHO I believe if they have a permit and notify, there is less chance of them shooting an officer compared to the person that doesn't have a permit and doesn't notify.

  15. Thanks, and yeah that is the main part that is not aftermarket enough on my car. Was considering springs for a while now, and thinking of doing anti-roll sway bars front and back by Eibach along with some Steeda LCA's but with the new gears must break it up some.

  23. This past week I: Wrote 0 people for speed, stop sign, etc... Wrote 11 people for driving under license suspension... Responded to a reported robbery in progress and had to go in with just one other guy and a 14" shotgun... Charged 4 people with disorderly conduct for engaging in fights in the street... Investigated a child porn case and secured a search warrant, looking at charging under state code for numerous pandering related felonies... Responded to a burglary in progress (while off duty, getting the above search warrant signed)... Responded to 2 or 3 domestic violence calls... arrested one... Arrested 5 people on warrants... Unlocked 7 or 8 people's cars for them... Gave directions to countless people... Performed over 4 hours of foot patrol... Handled 2 unruly juvenile calls and played social worker and daddy... Offered advice to numerous people who came in to the office with general non criminal questions... Handled 4 child custody disputes... Sat stationary at numerous locations in response to citizen's complaints about speeders and reckless drivers... Assisted another local agency with checking numerous areas for a kidnapping suspect from another state who had 2 kids he had abducted... Recovered a stolen car and arrested the person in possession of it... And attended the city council meeting where they cheerfully discussed laying me off since the city is broke.... So, yeah, fuck you. Cops do nothing but write bullshit tickets.

  29. so this is pretty muchlike every other "plot" that has been "foiled" recently... which is to say there was no plot and nothing was really foiled. the FBI send in an undercover agent who is basically like "hay guyz, i want to blow stuff up". then any idiot who is dumb enough to be like "yeah me too!" ends up getting arrested... but there is no plot without the cops making the plot in the first place... then they get to report it all over the news about how there are terrorists everywhere... even though they are only stopping the plots that they started in the first place. i guess they gotta keep the public scared somehow...

  33. Spent Saturday at my parents house building this thing and have to say, I am quite impressed in the quality for how much I spent on it. In total with the wheel chock, trailer, plywood and random nuts and bolts it came out to around $330 with tax. The only issue I had with it is the grounding system. It does not work at all. The ground wire attaches at the neck of the trailer, but since it fold into 3 pieces, it is not a solid ground and relies on the connections between the pivot points to send the ground through out the entire trailer. Well those points are painted and do have metal to metal contact so the tail lights only kind work, any movement on the trailer would make them flicker. Had to run a ground wire to each light to ensure they would always work. But thats only a minor issue and easily fixed so overall I am happy with the trailer. My one question though is how do you guys strap down your bikes in the front? I have never done it with the plastics on this bike so when I did today I noticed the plastics under the handlebars gets pressed on when you run the strap around the top of the fork tube as you can see in the picture. Is there a better way of doing this so I do not crack the fairing when I tighten them down. Also, how far do you compress the forks when you strap the bike down? I am afraid of going to tight for some reason thinking it might blow out the fork.

  41. I can't believe what I'm reading, Zimmerman killed an unarmed kid. The reason Sharpton got involed is the the parents asked him to. Do we forget the police dept held Martin's body for three days knowing that his parents were looking for him. They filed a missing persons report and the police still didnt tell them their son had been killed. They took Zimmerman side like he did no wrong. They took his bs story and tried to cover it up becasue his parents are/were people of power. Is the 911 tape not enough when the 911 dispatcher told Zimmerman not to pursue this kid but took the law in his own hands. If any 16yr old had some grown man pursuing him he would do the same thing and fight for his safety I don't care what race he is. If the police dept would have held a proper investigation we wouldnt even been talking about this story. It is all about justice, not black and white. Sharpton is no doubt an oppurtunist but without him and the media this tragedy would have been swept under the rug.

  45. If you are not planning on paying it off in that time frame its not worth it. You will get hit with the initial balance transfer charge then at the end if even a dollar is left you will get hit with 18 months of interest at whatever rate they give you on the WHOLE initial transfer amount.

  46. Dang I didn't know we had so many grammar nazis on CR. I own a 2011 Fusion SEL, R1, ZX6R. I have also owned a 07 GT, Cobalt SS/TC, and Cobalt SS/SC Lets look at the Boss for instance it out lapped nearly EVERYTHING within a hundred grand of it including the Z06 at Laguna Seca. I think it will do what the SS/TC did which is out standing.
