Yup. I quit smoking (five days so far) and signed up for the 50-mile Pelotonia ride. Pending training and fundraising, I'm hoping to up that to the 100-mile ride. For me, I couldn't think of better motivation to quit smoking than my son and adding years we'll spend together. Add to that helping fund the research that will one day lead to a cure for cancer, and it's a win win. For those not familiar with Pelotonia, it's a great organization. The charity itself is sponsor funded, meaning 100% of the money raised by folks like you and I goes directly to cancer research at The James Cancer Research Center. For my part, I'm cycling 50 (maybe more) miles and trying to raise more than $1200. Even better, my employer will match whatever I raise. Below is the link to my rider page. Well, at least one of them is. [ATTACH]3019[/ATTACH] Brought home my new Victory Cross Roads today. This bike feels like it was made for my ass! Without the quick-release seat rest and screen, it looks pretty bad-ass. I want to thank the Iron Pony for putting together a great experience for me. Exceptional trade (yep, I ended up trading it in), no pressure at all, and worked with the price to the extent that they beat my top dollar without me telling them what it was. Friday night seems like a good night for a Meet, Greet and Eat. 7PM to Whenever. Buffalo Wings N Rings 6325 E. Broad St. Columbus OH. 43213 Bikes not required but you are. Bring the wife and kids or leave them home and bring the girlfriend. It's up to you. All welcome. Out of towners that want to stay the night post up if you need a couch to crash on. Someone will have room. Post up if you can make it. Gap trip attendees this is a good time tower some of the people you will be spending a long weekend with. Regular Wednesday night get together is still on. Some out of Cbus members have asked we do this as Wednesday's are not an option.

I just got pulled over close to two hours ago by a sheriff. 270N exit 29 by Iron Pony. I was carrying and he said that he pulled me over because he could not see/read my registration stickers. Freaked me out because it was the first time I've been pulled over on the bike and while carrying. He asked if i had jnsurance and i said yes but its in the trunk didn't need it I guess bit I'm legal on all fronts. I just got a warning and he said that he rides also an old Harley Sporster and said they have been having problems with sportbikes and plate locations. Sounds legit enough gave him both ID's about five minutes later just a warning. He said keep it sunny side up and I continued on my way.

His name is Jason Moore, he about ran the rider off the road. The rider, he pulled over to a gas station and reported Jason's driving. Later they managed to be caught up together. Jason got out of the car, the rider got off his bike. Jason then got his ass kicked and face beat to hell. Jason then drove into the driver, backed up over him then went forward again. Jason was cranked up on heroin, he has few charges for trafficking, one in Montgomery Co and one in Miami Co. All awaiting Common Pleas Trials. I only know him because he's been f&%king my friends' wife while he was serving in the Marines in Afghanistan! Hopefully this piece of shit doesn't get out. The rider is okay, had broken ribs. They're awaiting this trial as well ;-). Jason was driving the "wifes" that isn't insured. So its a big clusterf*ck! You all need to ride safe, never know what crackheads are out there raging and looking to fight!

We have several private owned ice cream shops around here that also sell sandwiches and such, would they count? Sort of like a private owned dairy queen type joint. This one is called Chilly Willy's and has been in business for close to 50 years or more. I don't know of any ice cream only shops in this area and this is why I pick something a little on the generic side, some of the places picked would take me on a five to seven hour round trip. If this counts, the next challenge is a Pizza Hut. .
