  3. Good Luck on the recovery. In April 2008 I hit a deer on my bike at night and broke my shoulder blade and collar bone. Four weeks later I bought a new FZ1 and two weeks after that I was riding. Six weeks total recovery time for a 50 year old, at the time. Hope you have a speedy recovery and are back in the saddle soon.

  4. we just had a guy quit this morning because he can't get along with the new foreman. We said ok you need to return your truck and he comes to drop off the truck and won't leave til he gets paid. Yelling and being irate so finally i said no matter what you do or say you're not getting paid its not how your contract works, deal with it you quit. So he said he was taking the truck and i said be my guest and when i followed him to the parking lot to get the plate he tried to fight me. I literally laughed in his face and said easy Napolean (he's like 5'5") and turned around to walk away and let him take the truck so I could report it stolen

  10. And when CCW passed there was going to be blood in the streets... A new law would need a public education component. Possibly put up signs that say "Motorcycles allowed between lanes below 20mph" We cannot argue against new laws on the basis that some drivers are bad. That's also an argument against riding a motorbike in the first place.

  14. full disclosure, I already do it. Legal or not, if i feel it's the best option for me, I'm going for it. It would be nice to not have to worry about whether or not one of the vehicles you're passing is a police officer, and instead focus completely on the dynamics of the traffic conditions. That said, my first experience with it was in California, following a traffic cop on a motorcycle who seem impressed that I had ridden all the way from ohio. He was kind enough to show me the ropes and lead me back downtown, filtering almost the whole way. Since that experience, I do it when the conditions call for it IMO.

  15. We were supposed to ride this area July 4 time frame but it rained for like 16 days straight so it didn't happen. RT. 16 is supposed to be great. RT 61 and 41 around New River are also supposed to be awesome. I'm hoping to get down there Labor Day week as well. Mary

  17. 33 East from Elkins into the mountains to WV220 into VA, then 250 back into WV is absolutely incredible. It should be on every rider's bucket list.

  18. I don't think you guys understand... You do realize it will still be perfectly legal to NOT lane split if you don't want to even if something passes, right?

  20. Based on the above you and I likely share very similar views on the subject. Though I would postulate the prohibition of illicit substances helps fuel criminal behavior, and that many addicts could function in normal society, with a safe, available, and market regulated product. Of course stupid fucks will be stupid fucks, and there's nothing we can do to prevent that. On Topic ... Working downtown for many years has taught me to never leave anything (including change) worth stealing in the car, and to leave my doors unlocked.
