Hey guys. I'm from central WV, but go to National Trail Raceway once or twice a year to play with my car. I saw on Yellowbullet where you were sponsoring a track rental day, and thought I might check out what you've got going on. I street raced the car back in the 90's pretty regularly, but not anymore. It was the late night out in the middle of nowhere races, not the stoplight stuff with potential for cross traffic. The car has a stock block, solid flat tappet, pump gas 6800 rpm 306 with a 200hp plate, Toploader 4-speed and 9" rear shod with 28x9 slicks at the track. I'm 46, and have had the car for 31 years! (started out very slow and full of rust) lol The car ran its best time a couple weeks ago at the April 6 Test and Tune, even though the 60ft was a 1.500, which was quite a bit off of its best of 1.419 The day ended with a nitrous backfire! The 2-step/line lock button died, I launched at too low of an rpm... and the engine decided to belch on the nitrous. Oops! LOL http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l54/n2omike/cars%20and%20toys/mustang10134_zps83b8fc8a.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/hotrods/launch2.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/hotrods/mustang14160.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/hotrods/mustanglanes.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/hotrods/mustangpit1.jpg The awesome $250 tow vehicle! Beats the 4cyl Ranger that pulled it before. lol http://webpages.charter.net/hotrods/truckmustang.jpg2 points

I think if people would not record everything they seem to do these days and post it publicly, maybe we could all go about minding our own damn business. We have always done stupid shit, it's just that now there is easily and readily available proof.2 points

Why DON'T you believe? And why does it bother you so much that I do? I don't push or force my beliefs on anyone. I don't walk around saying "God bless" and pushing a bible in anyones face. I TRY to live my life and raise my family in what I FEEL is the right way for us, and betterment of the people and community around us. I don't look down on non-believers, nor view them as any worse or better than myself I do whats right for me. And FWIW, I don't care if he's Muslim, Christian, Jewish, agnostic, or whatever. I don't have any issues with his religion (or lack thereof). I strongly disagree with what he's doing to this country, and I stand in utter disbelief of those who follow him blindly. If the media would do their job, he'd be outed for whomever he really is, but at this point they are in fear of him. I don't believe that he is the person who he portrayed himself to be. I feel that the whole thing is an ingenious fabrication from the highest level to specifically get him into office. No school history ("He graduated when? I was in that class, and never saw nor heard of the guy"), a horrible record in congress, etc. Every program or idea that he's implemented has failed, but nobody seems to keep track. His wife wants to change the way I am allowed to eat, even though she seems to have put on a few pounds over the last few years. He's a foreign policy nightmare, and the fact that John Kerry is Sec of State is laughable. I've got my doubts. Deeeeep ones. But not about my religious beliefs. Slam all you want. You're not gonna change that. Just because you're "right" in your own head doesn't mean that you know whats right for me. I'm just not sure why some are so threatened by the fact that I believe that this wasn't all an accident.2 points

It's a 50/50 car... It looks best 50ft away going 50mph. It's very photogenic... from a distance. lol Old 1960's suspensions aren't the greatest, and there's a lot of camber change (what you are seeing) as well as bump steer with the wheels fully extended. It's got Ford Granada front spindles and brakes, which aren't the greatest for geometry... but were still a big overall improvement compared to the 4-wheel drum brakes that use to be on it! Stock spindles can be adjusted with a torch to minimize bump steer. Thanks for the good words!1 point

The Barclaycard has no restrictions at all. You get two points for every dollar. Points can be used to pay on your balance. If you use them to pay for travel related expenses, you get like 10% of the points back. It's pretty awesome actually.1 point

Dammit Aimee, now I know for sure I'm old. Neither of the beauties in the foreground intrigue me as much as what's in the showroom. Lovely legs and suspensions though...1 point

This would be way better if the lad was on a sportbike, in a leather onesie, negotiating a twisty road.1 point

agreed. And every kid is different. Like someone else said, this kid may have more experience on a bike than some people on this site... Plus not all 6 year olds are the same size, maturity, etc. My buddy's 6-yr-old is afraid to sit on my bike when it's on the side-stand, and not running. His 4 year old daughter is a crazy one though. She would absolutely not be afraid, and would probably jump off the damn thing if we let her... Assuming they were both tall enough, and both had appropriate riding gear, I would only take his son on a ride. He's got the safer mind-set. He understands the dangers and why it's so important for him to hold on, stay still, and follow instructions. His daughter just isn't wired that way. Not all 6 year olds (or even all 10 or 12 year olds) are. it's a parenting call. Easy for me (or anyone else) to arm-chair quarterback what's appropriate (or inappropriate) for this kid to do, but the reality is that we just don't know him, or enough about the situation to decide how risky it is.1 point

I ride my kids around our subdivision and sometimes at campgrounds. They always wear a helmet. Riding kids around with safety gear at slow speeds is a completely different animal than what is shown in the video.1 point

I rode my neighbors 1985 Yamaha V Max around all the time when I was 16, and now that I think back...I'm lucky to still be alive! I don't see a problem with the video, other than maybe some more gear for the kid...I give props for the helmet though. Fuck it. Live life!1 point

Credit card company's are the ones that take all the risk. If your card is hacked they have to reverse the charges and it's their problem. Don't see the logic in being overly paranoid.1 point

I just took a route up to bucyrus not long ago, 47 to 7 something or other to 4. And 47 outside of bellefontaine has some pretty nice twisties. Better yet, 30 miles of my journey and I saw no traffic. Clean roads, minimal dirt, good clear view for most of it. Wanting to travel back that way some time. But I heard south/ southeast Ohio has the most beautiful roads. Lots of mountains and enough twisties to make you dizzy. Just need to find someone that knows the area...1 point

Maybe we should make more laws and regulate everybody for every decision that we don't find acceptable on a personal level. I'm sure there's people who get just as upset about parents who let their kids shoot gun. Should that not be allowed either? Or is it OK since you don't see a problem with it? It's the same thing in my book. As a parent, you have to make decisions you deem acceptable for your kids. There are risks involved in every activity. Kids motox, racing, shooting guns, cooking, football, boxing, mma, whatever... Everything had risks. It's not your job to decide what risks are acceptable for other people's kids.1 point

Working with PI for 15 years I would say more often than not an attorney will do nothing but cost you 33% of your case. There are exceptions to this however. If liability is in question or injuries are extensive, then a good PI attorney is worth his/her weight in gold. They attorney in the end will have a better chance negotiating with doctors and hospitals to lower bills, therefore freeing up more case for the injured party (and themselves). Just keep in mind, couple of things. PI claims settle low for the most part. Gone are the days that you would see 3x medical bills. Now cases settle in the 1.5x medical bills. Of course nothing is set in stone. Much of the time the doctors notes, accident description and supporting evidence such as x-ray, MRI, CT, computerized ROM testing are critical in demonstrating injury. Cases with low property damage are also used against the claimant. There is a false perception that property damage equates injury (The insurance companies exploit this misconception to the juries). With the construction of modern vehicles, they are able to absorb a great deal of force without much damage. This is due to the federal bumper impact requirements. This has a negative effect though. The energy that would be absorbed through ride down is transferred to the occupants causing increased injury at lower speeds. The up side is, the vehicles now are constructed to crumple at higher speeds in a controlled predictable manner. This means lives are saved. So in effect it is a trade off between increased lower speed injuries and saving lives at high speeds. I will add this, if your not really hurt, dont go try to make a case out of nothing. This drives up insurance cost and can lead to fraud allegations. The insurance companies take that serious and may videotape you when you least expect it. If you are hurt, get yourself looked at.-1 points
