  1. All this talk about "real" Harley riders... I know there are a lot of 50 yr old boys who buy them as garage ornament dick-extensions, but there are still quite a few HD owners who ride the shit out of them as well. My old neighbor rode his Harley to sturgis a bunch of times. He always told me that even the "pirates" would slap me on the back and shake my hand if I'd ridden the EX500 out there.

  3. Almost always the case. Fastest guy on the street, slowest on the track. Slowest guy on the street, fastest guy on the track

  9. Center stand FTW. So much easier to work on anything on the rear of the bike. I also use mine when washing my bike as well.

  11. Along with installing the Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator kit, the Competition Werkes LED integrated tail light available from Riders Discount completes the job of cleaning up the tail section. Before: After: Available in clear, smoke (pictured here), or red, this tail light combines the function of running light, brake light, and turn signals, all from one unit. Comes with an OE plug for virtually plug n play installation. The turn signal wires will need to be spliced in to the stock wiring harness. The left-center LED will remain on for approximately 30 minutes. This acts as a security light and draws on an internal capacitor, not the Grom's battery. Additional note: Some customers have had success without needing a new flasher relay, however we did need one. Replacing the stock flasher relay located behind the headlight with flasher relay LL552 from your local auto part's store does the trick. This is with stock front turn signals still installed. For more information or if you'd like to place an order, send MIKE a message through this forum or give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Write us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! YouTube HD video available here -

  13. So sometime between my first and 8th beer at dinner Sunday night I decided I didnt really want to sell my bike. So instead of taking the original CL posting down I did a little editing. About 20 hrs later it was taken down for me...problem solved. Here is that final draft. I'd like to imagine Hunter S Thompson would have gotten along like 2 peas in a pod.

  14. JBot, basically the only new principle involved is that instead of power being generated by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it's produced by the modial interaction of magneto-reluctance and capacitive duractance. The original machine had a base plate of pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings ran in a direct line with the panametric fan. The line-up consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzul vanes so fitted to the ambaphascient lunar wain shaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-odeltoid type placed in panendurmic semi-bulloid slots of the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremmy pipe to the differential girdle spring on the up-end of the grammeters. Moreover, whenever fluorescent skor motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with the drawn reciprocation dingle arm, to reduce sinusoidal depleneration. The Scout has now reached a high level of development, and it’s being successfully used in the operation of Milford trunnions. It's available soon, wherever Indian products are sold.

  16. No, just makes you look silly. Of no use on a stock bike.

  17. You need to buy that ninja, and you need to start riding more with experienced riders in the twisty stuff. You learn by doing and watching and taking good advice from seasoned riders, straight line riding does not teach you much. Get out in the rain too.......you will do these things if you truly want to get better and more comfortable.

  18. Shoot, my kids are probably as old as, or older than you....lol. So that was in a different time. Plus where I lived then we paid property taxes that also paid for the schools and salaries for teachers and admins. It was also consistent across the state. We also never got 'lists' of things we had to supply or charges for a 'per child' attendance. When they built new schools in our district, they did one school at a time so they could spread the cost out and not hit property owners with such huge increases. I know many of these changes are because of the economy and all, but that same economy hits the homeowners as well. If only the school district would take this into consideration instead of wanting it all right now. It might actually get voted in.

  19. He quoted what was in the artical, wtf does it matter if he did add it?Its for a man that served in the military, who protected our freedom so we can ride everyday. It should take priority.

  21. Likely a grade 8.8 metric M6 or M8. Penetrating oil bath and extractor kit would probably suffice, and gives you a reason to buy an extractor kit for any future issues. I like having reasons to buy new tools
