You're doing pretty much what I plan to do with a smaller bike. Thinking 100-250cc 2-stroke. Before you spend a ton on 17" wheels, the stock rear is 18" do some research on if you can lace a rear rim to a front hub using the spoke setup from the rear wheel. Then your build cost is only in the $150 range, rather than hundreds of dollars for a set of 17's. Ending up with 18" front and rear certainly doesn't give you a ton of tire options, but it will improve the geometry of the bike a lot over 18/21. Edit** looks like Pirelli Sport Demon's or Bridgestone BT45's would fit.

Thanks for the props Skull. I'm not a pro-welder or mechanic, but I try not to do crap work. It's a fair thing to be skeptical toward someone else's work and I don't take offense when someone tries to out "smart guy" me. As I mentioned before, I do a lot of buy/sell on CL, focusing on electric guitars (And no, I don't play; I just like building and working on them). Any time I read where a seller boast about upgrades or repairs they did, I am immediately skeptical that they screwed something up that will take time and $$ to fix. I just find this current CL situation confusing because the 2 bikes I've sold, a '05 Suzuki C50 and a '94 Katana 750 were nothing special or customized; just solid, good running bikes. Within an hour on CL, I was inundated with legitimate offers and inquiries for each. It was like a feeding frenzy. This time . . . nothing. I doubt it's the economy because I'm still flipping guitars quick enough, and doesn't matter if they're cheap replicas, custom builds or vintage.

After doing some googling on this issue I now believe that it is indeed Casper's fault.

Cbus I looked this bike over and it's not a slop job. Builder is an engineer iirc and a bright guy. The welds on the rear cowl are nice and the paint work is good. If I didn't already have a b12 I'd probably buy this one.

It works out for us. I pay for our hotel, my friend pays for tickets. We break even.

I too have a 6+. My wife has a 6. Sometimes the + is a bit cumbersome, but i like that it is. I find myself leaving my phone behind more often (because of the size) which is a good thing. A little less phone usage is good for everyone.
