Then you try to squeeze by favoring hitting the car whose occupant is well protected, not the motorcycle whom you can easily kill or leave disabled. Easy split second decision. Believe me, it's much more expensive to pay for someone's medical bills than it is to pay to repair their car. Of course, this is a person who can't (or won't) maintain their car properly so I shouldn't give them too much credit for their decision making powers.3 points

My employer knows they suck. That's nothing new and I tell them that on a daily basis. And it's a fact that I'll be out of vacation till the first of the year. And I know my spelling and grammar suck.2 points

Unfortunately, unless it's the rain date, it's going to be Saturdays... Sunday leaves us no option for a rain date and would end with just cancelling due to adverse conditions. Plus it gives guys travel time/rest time after the ride to decompress. Should use one of those many vacation days you've accumulated.2 points

Its not going to change from within. If we dont intervene with massive resources it will only get worse. Let me give you am example. There is a girl at the school I work at. Her dad is doing 20 in the big house. Her mom just died from a heroin overdose. She is now being raised by her grandmother, who has a host of her own issues. Without outside intervention that girl has zero chance. And they dont idolize the thug life. Its the only life they know. Its the only life their parents know and its the only life their grandparents know. You tell them to work hard, they have no concept of what that means. Blame them, blame whoever you want. That wont change a thing. Only massive intervention will change it.2 points

While I was out riding yesterday my wife was out shopping for a dog at the Lorain county animal shelter. Picked up a 2 year old male beagle/German shepherd mix today. He seems to be a really nice, smart dog that hasn't been mistreated. Since he doesn't respond to his shelter name, Antony, we're naming him Tito Rabat. 1st non-golden retriever for us in 26 years.2 points

They would be cruising along, then SLOW way down, forcing me to slow down. Then as I'm like "WTF?" They would pop em' up. Then speed up to catch the rest of the group in front, but then would JAM on the breaks and take a 35mph Corner @ like 30 mph . . . meanwhile I'm maintaining a constant 60-70mph speed, get ready for the corner with a few times I either had to slam on the brakes b4 the apex, or trailbrake very late just to avoid them. You get the picture? It was breaking up the rhythm/pace for the rest of the group and creating varies Risk factors! After like the 3rd time, I just backed waaaaay off and let them have their fun and basically became the 2nd "Lead" Rider while Snot was about 4-5 bikes behind me! Just not cool. Ya dig?1 point

Two this weekend! Mid-O just recently changed it so there is separate track time for the A and I groups. 20 minutes on 20 minutes off(I think, haven't done one yet this year). I really like the idea of sessions for the twilight; still a lot of track time and separating the groups should increase the quality for both.1 point

I doubt the nonsense directly affects the velodrome, however traffic might be affected. They got so much messed up in downtown with traffic I expect I-77 to be a cluster most of the week. However as suggested you can probably take Broadway from I-480 without much problem.1 point

yes hydrate like crazy and possible mesh jacket might back fire since the air that is hitting you is going to be hotter than what your feeling inside the jacket. ride early morning and return late evening , in between go watch a movie or something1 point

The Velodrome wasn't far enough away in 1942 when another guy was going to make his country great again. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vel'_d'Hiv_Roundup1 point

Cause that's when all of the protesters that don't have jobs wake up from their drug induced nightly coma's?1 point

Ain't nuttin but a thang.1 point

Nice lines! Bet if you carry just a tiny bit more entrance speed into the top of the keyhole(to push a little wider & delay the second apex), your top speed on the back straight picks up a few MPH and lap time drops. Looking forward to a twilight this weekend!1 point

They used to have the brains to target their protests torwards their microagressors. These days are like mcdonalds workers going on strike in front of the post office to block mail. There are plenty of videos of them being hit by cars. they try to record the licence plate in this one. ? Compilation some foreign1 point

Oh one thing I wanna add . . . PLEASE NO WHEELIES!!! Keep that to a ZERO!!! (if your reading this) You 2 guys in May, kept doing it and it was annoying, putting other riders in danger (if you wipe you wanna get RAN over?), creating separation between the group, etc. Just dont do it during these big Group rides. Do that shit when your riding by YOURSELF!1 point

I have a cheap harbor freight dial gage I've been using for years. I checked it against one like yours and a very high end digital one my uncle uses for drag racing that reads down to 1/4 lb increments. And my little HF one is pretty dead nuts with both or them. And the glass has been broken since day one on it. .lol..I paid $3.99 for it http://m.harborfreight.com/110-psi-dial-tire-pressure-gauge-62699.html1 point

I've done it so many times it's not even worth it at this point. It's also not fair. It's like I'm Babe Ruth and they are some A-ball pitcher just serving up meatballs for me to crush. Some people just prefer to live in ignorance so let em. I don't need that kinda negativity in my city1 point

I usually don't have any problems though. Mine are easy to get to and the wifes bike has 90 deg stems on it.1 point

Or I could order this one that is 1/3 the price, just doesn't have the 90 deg chuck. https://www.amazon.com/G-H-Meiser-EZ02-EZ-Gauge/dp/B001CJHU9W/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1468447328&sr=1-1&keywords=ez+tire+gage1 point

I pulled mine on a bull once in the middle of the road. He had his head down and was snorting at me. I was convinced one of us was about to die, my money was on the bull. Edit: My money was on the bull making it, me dying. Badly worded there.1 point
