Well spaced, you were always back there where you should be when I looked, everyone having a blast and being safe. Awesome signals from my sweep. Brian, you sir are a saint. 4. Home safe and settled down, it was so nice to see you all again. All the familiar faces and some new ones. Beautiful weather was a special treat. Newly paved roads very less traffic. @DerekClouser as always thx for organizing this every year. NE section always consistent you whaler and wolfman. Punk needs a second gear. And there was no super fast group as no core guys. Hellmutt snot and also dubie and onomoto for being corner stone of this from the SW region. Similar now we have a south central region also being consistent with shoop and justin. Nice to see you all again and again. from central i think only strictly street is there consistently. Miss the other freq flyers from central like fizzer, mykill fijibrother, wonder were they are nowadays. Special props to tonic who consistently brings the best donuts and leads the hate train. And also for giving me a tag along for the super slab home which cut down my commute time a lot on the way home. Brown always comes out even if not riding, and this time sweeped which was nice. A professional club feel with four wheelers playing sweep And Dave scorpion ninja for making the ultimate trek all the way from Michigan. Max power did a 10 anniversary ride and finally met malbroman who wouldnt not look at the camera. Tim even if we all make fun of you, i should say i was jealous and wish i had a trailer by the end of the loop. I was running late and had to slab back. There is no point or justification in traveling on a motorcycle in a freeway back home when u can easily do it on a truck. Anyways, derek even if i didnt ride the whole route all the short cuts i took were some awesome road and i was pulling a mach retard as much as the strom would allow to get ahead. But the waiting was painful, mainly because i was not even sure if you guys passed the spot or not. Finally needed a bathroom break and trekked back to the gas station after taking pics of the fast group and before i could go saw medium group getting ready and off i went again But it was fun in a way to ride like that with a purpose. If i had not made that wrong turn could have got some more nice footage. Sorry to trying to jump in without warning and filter through you guys, normally i would never do it, but to get some video i can be that asshat guy

  6. Finally made it home. 460 miles in total. Thank you to everyone who came. Hopefully you all had as much of a blast as I did. As always, thank you to everyone who helped this go as smooth as it does. Nivin, As always, you never disappoint with your assistance with video/pictures. You make the memories for all of us to enjoy. I know I try to get as much video and pictures as I can, but you literally forfeit your chance to ride the route to sit at a corner and twiddle your thumbs for that one instance where you get to shoot video through the corners. Only to have to go home and work 22 days in a row to do it. I literally can't thank you enough for all that you do. Hellmutt/Snot Again, you lead a perfectly paced medium group. From the sounds of it, you didn't make too many wrong turns this time Always encouraging to know that you two are always willing to make your schedule fit to this event so you can help lead that group and organizing the pre-meet to bring all the SW Ohio people in. Sounds like you guys were all stars in handling that downed rider that had nothing to do with OR. I still don't understand why their own guys weren't helping at least guide traffic. You guys were on the binders in that corner trying to avoid them. Kudos to your group for not crashing there as well. Tim Thank you for showing us how to travel in style with your new trailer/truck method. You missed out on some killer action coming home. Med-Fast Group Great job everyone. Felt like we had about 11 bikes going, then the gas stop and we finished with 5. (After picking another rider up from the med group). Had a lot of guys peel off for various reasons. You all made great passes when you could and we didn't have any issues. To me, that's a win in itself. The best part of this ride is the fact that I get meet a lot of new faces and reconnect with a lot of familiar ones. It means a lot to see the same faces return year after year. That must mean it's worth going to. Even the guy who I yelled at for wheelies last time came up to me at the gas stop and was like "I just wanted to tell you that I haven't done any wheelies this time". Unfortunately now we have to wait for the dreaded winter to finalize before we get to do it again, but I know there's still a bit of riding left to do this year. Hopefully I can join you guys again. I will be posting a videos/pictures thread in this sub-forum for you to post pictures/videos in.

  8. It was a lot of fun following the Medium group today! Looking through my footage now an I think most of it is pretty much crap. The fish eye effect that GoPros add make everyone look super far away from me but I'll edit down the best shots.

  9. Good riding from everyone in our group today. Great meeting some new folk I'd not shook hands with yet, and always good to see the familiars as well. The guy on the ThruxyR got lucky, but still hurt pretty badly. We got there just after it happened. He was wearing an oldschool open faced helmet and his face was battered and bloody. He was spitting out some teeth, his right wrist was severly broken, and his left leg had a hefty puncture wound. In and out of consciousness at first, but seemed to recover as Jen and the EMT did their best to assess him. Hopefully no skull fractures - but a fullfaced helmet could've saved him some damage. Definitely target fixation, no signs of hard braking - just blew the turn and down, and either he or his bike took out the sign post. Big kudos to my wife @snot for diving in to help the rider and @TheBrown57 who played safety car behind our group today. He made sure the 911 call happened at the nearest house, and also acted as traffic buffer since this was in a blind downhill corner. Cant believe none of this guys group were helping this man out? Everyone was standing along side the road when we got there....W the fuck?!

  10. Hooooooly shit I knew this guy was bad news, he went through the same corner I was waiting for you guys. He almost target fixated that corner and crashed looks like brand brand new rider. I might have video oh him running wide. Well many ran wide in that corner. Best part none from the OR groups ran wide

  11. Snot did an awesome job! She assisted the EMT who hopped out of a passing car. She was right there with the man as soon as she was off her bike.

  12. We did stop at Meijer before we got on to 33 for gas. The guy who went down was with another group. From the looks of it he target fixated and missed the turn. Bike still had 30day tags and was in had shape. The guy got lucky, his helmet and gear saved him...he didn't know what happened. He was awake and knew his name, he could feel his toes and fingers. His left wrist looked broke. He was in bad shape, but calm and talking. An off duty EMT stopped a few minutes after us and took over. Brown went to a house to call 911 (no signal), and another rider rode up a hill to get service. We did leave once the responders started showing up to get out of the way.

  14. i will be getting microwaved for 22 days straight, no free weekends to ride nor edit it will be well over a month before i can post some videos. Pics i did not take much, got some videos in this new to me camera which has a steep learning curve, hopefully i got some good footage. Here is the group pic @Casper or if other mods have permission in back end/ will it be possible to create common Epic ride gallery so any one can upload images into it?

  16. I have a Go pro and could put it in the front of the bike. If you have a card I can put in it I could just give it back after the ride.

  18. I guess since we got there shortly after it happened is why nobody was assisting the rider when we pulled up....but to arrive and see his buddies standing around while he is laying in the ditch alone, bugs me. I dont have any emergency training, but logic and common sense tell me to at least make sure the guy doesn't try to move/get up if his bike isn't burning next to him, and to stay with him to keep him calm and awake. Am I alone in this?

  20. Not sure how many I ended up with...some idiot forgot to reset his overall trip...DOH! It was a pleasure to meet folks and I thoroughly enjoyed riding sweep for you Tonik. I will gladly do so again. You'll have to forgive me as I am horrid with names but great with faces. Looking forward to the next adventure!

  21. Yes big kuddos to @snot and @TheBrown57 She jumped right in there and was taken charge while us other riders had our thumbs in our butts ( only because we were not sure what to do for a downed rider. And yes the brown for fetching a land line and traffic buffer. Without him slowing down traffic that curve could of been worse. The truck was parked right in the moddle of the curve. Hellmitt and myself had to split the difference around it. He went left and i had my rear locked up dodging the truck a motocycle and two people standing on the shoulder.

  23. Glad you showed bro. Fate brought you to us today man. You played a bit of a pivotal role in helping the downed rider situation, and Jen and I both liked having you as the secondary sweep for our group. Thanks for coming out, and good to see you again

  25. Well I had to spin off early as well but I'm still feeling the burn (says the old guy). Medium group was paced perfectly by Helmut and Snot and everything was really well organized I thought. 300.0 miles... good ride!

  27. I'm home and finished dinner. Max - you can have the award. The ride and the weather were GORGEOUS! While I'm sorry that some of you had to drop out, and I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow, it seems like an excellent decision to have postponed. Thank you for coordinating this, Derek. Chris

  28. Home with180 mi on the clock. I'm sure I win the least mile award. Can an we do name tags next time? I didn't say hi to what and didn't even realize my ol buddy Tom (strictly street) was the dude on the GPz. Every time we do one of these things I realize who people are well after the event.

  30. Now that things have calmed down and I'm getting back to normal, I would like to thank everyone that helped me pack up or made sure we had everything covered. Situations like this really make me happy that I have a track family.
