  2. Scorpion ninja Good to hear you found a way home. If you can charge that battery when you get home do that and meter voltage. After that fire up the bike and check voltage. If voltage drops while running it's not the battery. From there you can meter the voltage at the stator pigtail it should be 40-70 ish no mater which of the three wires you check. If all checks out its pointing to the rec/reg You may already know that stuff but if not I hope it helps. Those 650's are pretty solid and don't usually let you down. Have a safe trip home.

He doesnt have any tools with him either it seems. He is thinking may be a dead battery since its old one 401 Cherry Blossom Way Georgetown, KY 40324 His bike is sort of surging and stopping, not sure whats going on. Is there any one from around this area that might be able to help him out? His number is 586 817 0879 > he doesnt have txt function. Any one from around this area who can help them out?

  6. Didn't ride for many years. I feel like a novice... Moved to SC for work and bought a bike and now back in Ohio. Looking forward to finding others to ride with. East of Cincinnati in Brown County. Steve

  7. Been home for about a hour. I followed @Tonik to Kawi dealer yhis morning and waited to be sure they could take care of him. Once that was answered I took off on my own for a couple of hours and hit the Devils Triangle a couple other roads and one I don't think even classifieds as a road. Once I was done playing I rode back to the dealer and Jims bike was done. So we rolled together today. Parted ways after dinner just a few miles from my house and he's still on the road.

  8. I'm def a cheap car addict. I am on my 3rd older Honda Accord that I bought with 91K miles($2000) , and now it has 160k, & will run it to 230 ish.... Its kinda formula now, buy at 90,000ish miles, sell at over 200k. - Agreed more money for bikes.... Only have 2 bikes now, but for a while I had $30k worth of bikes and a $3000 car.....

  14. I just put about $1,000 into a complete brake overhaul, but that's the kind of shit I expect at 140,000 miles. I would have been a little upset, and the timing kind of sucked with my wife going on (unpaid) maternity leave the month after we had the work done, but 1) the brakes definitely needed it, and work a TON better now, 2) that $1k is only 2-3 months of what a payment would cost, and 3) I'm definitely keeping the car long enough to get my money's worth out of the new brakes. I don't have an M5 in the garage for non-commuting duties, but I also don't think I'd drive one if I did. More money for bikes and guns (in theory...)

  18. Not sure how old you are or why you want a less labor intensive job or the scenario. My job can be laborious but the pay makes it worth it. Starting out you can make close to 100k a year and it just goes up from there. I build power lines and sometimes it is a lot of work sometimes not so much. Also not sure if you can operate equipment or not but that's less laborious and you can still make good money in the Powerline field by running equipment such as bulldozers backhoes loaders and boom trucks. They aren't hard to learn how to operate either. If you can get crane certified 200k a year isn't very hard to reach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Sell building material? Not Lowes' or Homo Depot...some major wholesale distributor. You're familiar with trade tools; Grainger or the like as a counterman, then look to outside sales.
