This is going going to come as a surprise to you, especially Chuck, but none of you are important enough that it matters who the president is. I would wager that 99% of the people on this forum, hell 99% of the people in this country, it doesn't affect your lives one bit. I felt that way when Obama got elected. Oh shit, poor me, oh noes the guns, the world is ending. Guess what, it didn't. And it's not going to end one year, even 4 years from now. Whether Hillary or Trump got elected, I'm still going to do whatever the fuck I want. I'm still going to play with my motorcycles. I'm still going to shoot shit with my guns. I'm still going to go to work and collect a paycheck. Same shit I was doing 8 years ago. If you think the President has direct influence into your everyday life, or you let him have that much influence, then you have issues. Grow a pair and take control of your own life.8 points

the whole "I'm just here to troll you guys lol" is a common and frankly, tired tactic for the feeble minded. i think you make valid points between all the salt and sadness, but the energy you put into all that misplaced anger and vitriol is better served not trying to stir up this obviously anti-hillary crowd into basically hurting your feelings thus continuing the cycle, but to open useful discourse. you're not better than anyone here and your insecurity is transparent.5 points

Okay the wife has spoken and decided. "Fuck It, it's a free bed. Throw it in his room (as is) and who gives a fuck if it matches. If it gets dirty or soiled from the light color, refer to the first part of this statement. Fuck it, it's a free bed" why I love that women3 points

Admittedly, I haven't paid much attention to the protests. Can anyone tell me the point of them? The election wasn't close, so I'm guessing hey aren't about demanding some kind of recount. Is it just a matter of...we're pissed off because Hillary didn't win?3 points

That term is being used to describe white people in the US? An idiot came up with this acronym. First, all Anglo-Saxons were white. Saying "white Anglo-Saxons" is like saying "cold ice". No shit. Also, they were in Britain, not here. You could say many in the US are descendants of Anglo-Saxons, but that's about it.2 points

What will we bitch about once everyone stops caring about who won the election in a week or two? Can we go back to Starbucks hating christmas?2 points

There wouldn't have been any because Trump supporters have a job to go to in the morning. Were there large-scale riots when Obama won? I didn't like it but I got up the next morning and went to work. Funny how that works.2 points

The only part of the election I thought was rigged was the DNC. I thought it was rigged against Hillary in 08, and more obviously rigged for her this year. The sweet, sweet irony there is that I think Bernie would have carried moderate voters better than Hillary and probably would have won PA, MI, IA, and WI.2 points

Hillary is more hawk than Obama, and he loves killing folk over in the sandy desert. As far as Trump's foreign policy - you're exactly right. He has no clue about foreign policy, which is why he appoints a cabinet to tell him what to do. We have no idea what his foreign policy will look like until we see who's in his cabinet. At this point it could be a train wreck, it could be business as usual, or it could even be better.2 points

I didn't vote for Trump. I voted against Hillary. You all can argue this all to hell and back, but he's president. Us non-educated low browed white idiots came out of the woodwork and said "Enough". End of story. Meanwhile we'll all still get up tomorrow, doubt anyone is packing up to leave. Had a friend who fled to Europe when Obamy got his second term. She came back and proclaimed herself a fool for leaving. But if you gotta go; git. Like her you can return. And keep preaching doom. Me? I got to worry 'bout bills tomorrow, finish my yard, and try out new ammo in a couple of guns. Life's not as bad as it sounds sometime.2 points

And that is a huge part of why Trump is President. Obama, Hillary and our very own Chuck think they are above us. That we are stupid hicks. That our issues are not worthy of their time. Jesus, they f'd over their own people. The Liberal Elites worked together to bury Bernie. That hurt them bad. Trump got more Black and Latino votes than Mitt Romney. Hillary got far less than Obama got. Think about that for a second. That is huge. Christ, THEY voted for Trump too.2 points

Since when does the president have any direct impact on the stock market? I mean, Obama drove up firearm stocks like mad, but that's just because he's the gun salesman of the century.1 point

I'm not a republican either. Their stance on social issues dont jive with me. Just like I'm not a dumbocrat because their stance on economics doesn't jive with mine. Also, I'm not a bleeding heart and think people are the worst and don't deserve what they don't work for1 point

You are obvious just a greater human than all of us. How did we ever survive without your knowledge? I will be the first to admit I am not very knowledgeable, but no one in here can predict our future. So why act like you're a better person than everyone else because you think something was a bad decision? Yes, Trump could be a bad decision. Guess what, no one knows yet. Good thing we can at least agree on motorcycle choice.1 point

If you take a look at the news footage from last night, there's a lot of "Socialists for X" or "People's Party of Y" marching around. So pretty much the same shit-stirrers that have been organizing protests since the 60's. Granted, there were probably a lot of random normal people mixed in that were unhappy with the outcome of the election and just looking for an outlet for their frustration. The part about the protests that bothers me is that the media was trying its damnedest to pass them off as "organic, grass roots" protests, as evidenced by the 10,000 times they said those phrases in their coverage last night when clearly that wasn't the case. These protests were organized.1 point

And btw retards,I would actually like to see Trumps term be a successful one.I am not a retard,I would never say my job is to make sure he is a one term president. Country first. You would have learned that if you served the country.1 point

You should follow your own advice there man. Wait and see what Trump does, rather than the expectations fed to you by the media. Or you can run around like a lunatic and move to BC. Either is fine with me.1 point

Straw man argument. My point is the doom and gloom stock market crash predicted by your minions in the liberal media Tuesday night was bullshit.1 point

Not wrong. All are attempts to understand and label what we have going. Democratic Republic was the original definition, per the revisionist history books. Also includes Federal Republic, Constitutional Republic, Federal Presidential Republic (CIA FactBook), and the latest take-all-grand-winner.... "constitutionally limited representative democratic republic". Missing the point here, all are Republics, which is similar to, but not quite a Democracy.1 point

Tpoppa's post...I've no use for M.M.'s fat flaky ass. But this time he's hit the nail on the head. And like Andy I'll work on one of my bikes, get some shit done around my house and then go kill some paper with one of my guns. And I'll end anymore posting in this thread by myself. I'm done with all the political rhetoric. At my age I consider it more important to get on with life. To quote a line from some biker movie, "Let's ride!"1 point

That must be some real common core math to get 1million more popular votes for Hillary considering all the poles say 200k with 99% reporting. This discussing on which one should have won is like discussing which turd taste better.1 point

Or FFS, Obama did nothing to improve our overseas relations. The Muslims still want to kill you. Putin still wants to kill you. Europe still hates us and mocks us. And if you think Trump being elected has anything to do with race you have been watching MSNBC too much. A large part of America was being ignored, and the issues that were important to them were being ignored. And all the while Obama and peeps like you were ridiculing them. So they got pissed and did something about it. No different than the reasons Obama got elected.1 point

Sorry to break the news, but supporting a racist sexist nationalist candidate is pretty anti-human. Not to mention all of the b.s. he has pulled out if his ass when put on the spot, which that just goes to show he was not politician material. Unbelievable that he amassed so much support. AND I don't think that Trump lovers are a bunch of backwards hicks, as Trump yard signs are both prevalent in rural areas and rich suburbs...-1 points
