  3. Yep, if I can do it in two hours, I'm good. Plus it will give me a chance to go over everything several times a year.

  4. Still twice as many times as you went down there.

  5. Congratulations to the Czechs then for someone in their government wanting to give them a fighting chance. I hope anyone who arms themselves also choose to go through training. Things like safety, marksmanship and tactics. Doesn't do any good to be armed and not know what to do with it.

  8. I had really good luck with my Qstarz BT-Q1000. It was reliable, provided a lot of data and it only cost $200. The downside is that you have to hook it up to a laptop to see the data. Then I wanted to try to make cool videos like Ryan Hill. I had an old iPhone, so I purchased the XGPS160 and Harry Lap Timer App. It worked, but I didn’t like it as much as Ryan’s set up and then I remembered that my wife had an old Android phone. So I bought the Race Chrono app that Ryan was using and I love the set up. It makes syncing lap-time data with your GoPro pretty easy. The best feature is the predictive-lap-time display. During a lap I can take a quick look and see how my current lap compares to my best lap of the session. It’s nice to know when you have a good lap going so you can continue to push. It’s also great that this data transfers to the video so you can look back at the lap and see where you made-up / lost time. Having said all of that, I believe the AIM Solo has all the same capability and I’m sure would be a cleaner solution. For reference, the predictive-lap-time data is the green / red number in the upper right hand corner of the video. http://youtu.be/Hz5VljlB41A

  12. Couldn’t decide if this was a firearms or political thread but politics won, so here goes... http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/james-carstensen/czech-govt-placing-weapons-hands-citizens-best-defense-against-terror Admittedly in the USA we don’t have terror attacks as bad as other places. Interesting to see what they are coming up with as solutions to the problem.

  13. Absolutely false. Genetics play a very small part in a dogs propensity towards human aggression. Bull breeds weren't even bred as attack dogs. American bulldogs were bred to be catch dogs on cattle farms and to aid in boar hunting in early America. The terrier branch of bully dogs were bred for hunting and companionship. The surge in negative press on pitbull attacks is part media hype, part idiots who don't know how to train a dog and yes, part is the fact that they are a powerful breed of dog and can do a lot of damage if they bite. In the 70's it was the German Shepherd, in the 80's it was the Doberman, in the 90's the Rottweiler. I volunteer with an animal rescue that rehabilitates abused and neglected animals, many of them are pitbull type breeds. I've seen dangerous and vicious dogs rehabilitated and trained and adopted to homes with small children over and over again with no issue. Currently snoring at my feet is my American bulldog Dixie. She was an aggressive, dominant, dangerous dog when we started fostering her. Now she cleans our cats ears like they were her pup's and attacks visitors to our home with kisses. Any dog can be dangerous. All dog breeds bite. The cause is almost always the training, or lack thereof, that the dog received.

  14. Bad has it right, sort of. From Dayton Louisville isn't a bad run. It's awesome. Stay at the Hyatt Louisville downtown. Right on 4th street in the center of all the action, it's awesome down there. Tons of stuff to do. Eat at Doc Crow's, easily walkable from the Hyatt. Get a pound of the Cajun/BBQ shrimp. If you have a good line of BS, call the Hyatt direct. Tell them you are one of the people that work for 'Derbycon' and you are coming down with your wife for a vaca. You should get a killer deal. FYI for your story, Derbycon is a hacker convention my kid runs down there. He sells the hotel out for a week...spends a BOATLOAD of money there. They should hook you up.

  18. Bodywork on, obviously the cut around the exhaust needs work, but that's not a big deal. I'm going to leave the carbon fender on.

  19. New exhaust in and starting to mock up the bodywork. Service manual said to take off the radiator to remove the headers, but fuck that, got my little hands in there and saved a couple hours.

  20. Dude, it's a Triumph. They still have the same issues as the cars did with the Lucas electrics in them. You need an electric smoke refill kit. I used all of mine while fixing my Sprint the one time or I would let you have my bottle. Looks like;

  22. Don't kid yourself CSC, your anthropomorphism is a joke. Watch some more talking animal movies. You people and your animal companion laws are an even bigger joke. It won't work with farmers, they have laws of their own already passed to prevent it. I don't live with animals, I don't sleep with animals and I don't kiss them with no tongue to tongue action as a greeting. I eat them. I'm done with this thread.
