Very few use belts. There's a couple BMWs. There's a practical HP limit, belts are more expensive to develop, and you can't easily change the gearing. ...but they are basically maintenance free, and a zero slack drive is a wonderful thing. Honestly the belt drive is the one thing I miss about my Buells.

Good to see IP and Tim today. I looked for Dan but didn't see him.

Cmon don't mislead people because none of those carry the kind of oil that is VERY hard to clean up as opposed to the kind that is just regular hard to clean up in the event of a failure

IP has it....I replaced my Ninja 300(non-abs) stock front pad with an EBC HH pad. With the stock rubber brake line I could do a stoppie if I wanted(250lbs geared up). Steel braided line may change the feel, if you cared enough.

Ugh. Even though I enjoy the bikes and people watching mixed in with the occasional fist fight, I think that I'll just go walk around IP today and save the tank of gas (Chevy Tahoe ) + admission fees. Jim's feedback helped me decide with his semi-positive review of the event. In Tonik speak what he really said was "It kinda sucked but I don't want to admit that I wasted $25 to see this shit show".

How was the EBR booth? Too soon?

So the show is smaller this year. All the bike manufacturers are there except Aprilia. Far fewer small vendors. However the show is nicer, classier and has a great flow. Both the wife and I felt it was better than last year. The stunt show was awesome.

12 percent of all death row inmates are totally exonerated....not only spared the death penalty but actually determined innocent and set free. And it happens at a rate of 130 times more than general crimes. Chances are extremely high that we have murdered a great many innocent people in cold blood in the name of the death penalty. Those in favor of the death penalty are at the very least guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and should be put to death.

I wondered why he wouldn't do a saleen/carroll shelby style business. He could engineer his own parts but not continue risking building whole bikes.

I've said it before.... He's and innovative engineer, but he's also stubborn and a terrible businessman.
