  2. Ok, it is on for sure. I am leaving Cleveland at some ungodly hour tomorrow to drive down there. Meeting Josh in the State House a little before 9. There are 5 or 6 bills on the agenda so don't know exactly when I will be on. There is someone else from a 'motorcycle advocacy group' also testifying. To the best of Josh's knowledge there is no opposition speakers. Had to go buy a suit coat FFS, my suit doesn't fit me anymore. I may need to get in on the weight loss thread. I will talk to Josh in detail about the next steps after it clears committees. We still have to get leadership to bring it to the floor and then at that point I think we will need to make the Rep's phones ring with supporters. It's good that this rep is an R since they control the House.

  4. Cool. Don't know if I'd go out of my way to mix with the locals down there though. My only Mexican "vacations" were in Juarez, but I did get familiar with the residents as I had to work (& drink) with them. Enjoy the vacation. Maybe we'll get in a ride next year. Considering the dirt.

  6. Almost in a 30" waist jean and wearing a medium t-shirt without looking like a sausage. Down to 185 lbs and that's WITH hairy legs, people. Keep at it. Change that lifestyle and it will change your life.

  7. decided to take advantage of the time change....Since work keeps running later and later, preventing me from working out in the evenings, I decided to try waking up 30 minutes "earlier" to get a workout in the morning. starting point - 205 lbs, my 38" pants are too tight, and I am unable to walk at a brisk pace for more than a minute without sounding my age..... keeping it very light for the first week - 5 minutes cardio on the ski machine, 3x5 of crunches/leglifts, and LOTS of stretching.... We'll see if I can keep it up till I can get back in my 36" jeans, and be able to jog for 30 minutes without dying!

  8. Road Atlanta and Summit Point have some pretty long straights, Mid Ohio also has a decently long straight. I know a guy that runs the 1/4 almost every week and does Mid Ohio track days all the time, hes actually on here and he is @Trackbikez. To address the frequency of how often do I get to take my track bike out and open it up? Whenever I get to a track day. How often do you get your standing mile bike out (so long as it isnt also your street bike)? Probably every time you go to a straight line event lol. To address the rest of your question, I already did the whole open it up, and keep it there thing back in high school. I was young and dumb with a liter bike and I did those wide open throttle highway runs occasionally..... If you are hooked on a straight line, a lot of the other stuff is relatable to track days. I'm sure you've met a bunch of awesome people at those 1/4, 1/2, full mile events. Same thing with track days, I've met some of the most genuine awesome people in my life period because of track days. I'm sure you have a lot of fun in the pits while off-bike. I'm sure we have more! . Main difference here being (obviously) what we are doing on the bike, and I'll tell you what, you roll out of hot pit for that first time and run through your first session, you'll be hooked!
