The only time I bought a bike with a loan still on it, I met the guy at his credit union (lien holder), paid him his asking price and he paid off the remainder of the balance on his loan and had them transfer the title to my name on the spot. Your situation sounds real shady.3 points

Official date is now April 28th, noonish. 1054 8th Street NE Massillon 44646 Host: noun, BIOLOGY an animal or plant on or in which a parasite or commensal organism lives. So I guess that's me, because in defiance of all that is holy I will again host the spring meet and greet or beat your meat or whatever the fuck. It's a good goddam time and I'm happy to infest my garage with you parasites. As per usual, this is a thread to suss out the best day to hold said circle jerk. Like last year, the beers will be brewed in house and you, the patrons are invited to request the variety. Last year we had an IPA, a Dortmund lager and a milk stout. Last year I smoked up some pulled pork that went over quite well, along with brats, Italian sausage and pasta. I plan on similar offerings this year unless anyone has a better idea. Post up. I want dates, I want beers, I want foods. A good host is controlled by it's infection.1 point

I've sold a vehicle doing the exact same thing. We met at my credit union, he paid me, money is in my hand all of 5 seconds before I hand it to the credit union employee. Loan paid off, I get the difference, he gets the title, done. Easy. If the guy is serious, he will offer to do the exact same thing or will accept you wanting to do it this way. If he says no, fuck em.1 point

My major concern with this build is the rider wont show the bikes true potential So what are you waiting on for updates? I know there was a lot accomplished in last few days.1 point

Let me check if I still have the Q3 rear I think I have. I may have a front as well. Gotta check sizes when I get home. May save you some time driving down there.1 point

Given my work and family life, I have few opportunities for a full day riding, but occasionally the stars and planets align and I get the treat. Most of my typical rides are a quick 30 minute blast down the country roads near my house, after work before I go in. Rippin' off a dozen good wheelies, listening to the dukes big V-twin singing near 10grand, just soothes the soul. Once a week I have to make a 250 mile round trip to my employer's factory. In the morning it's a 2hr drone on the freeway non-stop or I'll be late for the weekly morning meeting. On the way home, if I don't have to hurry to one of my kids sporting events, I take the long and less traveled route. Bliss. A good solo day trip = 200-400 miles toward the least busy twistiest roads I can find. No schedule, stop for food in a hole in the wall when I'm hungry. Ride with hair on fire for a while, slow down and enjoy the scenery for a while. If I can find a river or stream to stop by, rest and forget things for a while, that's a special treat. Group ride: Anytime I can ride nearly any distance with friends is good - I'm just glad to be out, and don't care where we go. I haven't read your buddies blog yet, but I will. I like to learn of new roads and destinations to check out.1 point

Since we've moved into injuries, here's a couple doosies: Compound fracture right tibia - I like to call this one my Bonehole, if only to gross out my daughter and her friends (cager crash, not our fault, killed my Aunt who was driving). And, the super awesome belly zipper (another cager crash, not my fault, killed my grandmother who was riding with me). So bottom line is people are stupid and can't drive. I'm currently teaching my 16yr old son to drive - his birthday is tomorrow - and definitely stressing the need to watch the other idiots on the road staring at their f'ing phones. I got lots more scars - chest tube hole, gall bladder surgery, arthroscopic surgery on left knee, and various chunks of meat removed from hands and fingers. Welcome! I'm a newbie to the forum too, but not a new rider - been at it for 42 years (and I'm a solidly mediocre rider!). If you've never ridden street bikes, or dirt bikes before, I recommend not worrying about HP at all. Find something you feel comfortable on, and you like the looks of the bike, and learn how to ride, and survive on the street. THEN, after a couple seasons worth of learning, you can peddle your learner bike on CL and move up to whatever! Good luck! you're about to embark on a life changing journey into the best sport/hobby there is!!! Hotrods are cool (got one myself), but bikes are cheaper (well, sort of, or can be) to modify and easier to work on. And, a bone stock 20yr old sport touring bike like the ZX-11 will run 10's all day long.1 point

I did and since you ask (please don't take this the wrong way) I find blogs like this almost dumb. And it has nothing to do with subject matter, what he is doing is exactly what I do; Logging miles exploring the country and seeing new things and places. But I'm just not into blogging or diaries or documenting things. The stories he tells in the blog are the ones we like to tell by the fire or in a pub with good company and a drink in our hand and be able to reshare the trips of the past. Like I said don't take it the wrong way but it's just not my thing. I do like to hear about places and roads to ride but I want a very limited information so I can live it for myself. I don't want to read a detailed blog or story about a trip or route to only think "yup that's what he said it was" the whole time im riding it. Some guys on here like reading things like his so hell yea if that his thing keep it coming.1 point
