My boss is a good friend. So he is elated for me, sad for himself. But he knows I will hold my replacements hand as long as is needed so they will be fine.
Stock, stock and stock.
Mods like suspension or anything requiring wiring are great but if you know nothing of the previous owners wrenching abilities I’d pass.
The RF-1200 is hard to beat and at the $379.99 price point is a an easy pick for me. That said it's all about what fits well and feels good on his head to. We still have some of the Bell Race Star Carbon helmets at $349.97 as well. Plus we also have one of the very best options out there to most, the Arai Corsair X in certain graphics on closeout for $499. So many top tier helmets not normally in the category of a HJC RPHA for example.
Damn it all. They gave me two offers, one with a lesser salary and a Tesla. I would have took that in a heartbeat if I knew I would get to see you in a chauffeurs suit.
back to the grind, put my big boy pants on, get moved to the farm, sell this house, and then, all bets are off!
Then I could take a 60% pay cut!
I'm thinking of maybe grounds crew or parking enforcement or even cashier at A&M to get the benefits and retirement....
+1 to the Alpinestars. Just got one, best jacket I have ever had. It feels great, fits great and just oozes quality. Contact MIKE @RidersDiscount to get a cool deal on them.
Welcome to the fold! Congrats on passing the course as well. I'll echo what many have already said about buying a used bike versus a new one. Also, when it comes to gear, don't be too skimpy. It is YOUR body you're trying to protect. Remember that. Luckily we have an EXCELLENT forum sponsor in @RidersDiscount who can hook you up with some great prices and the BEST customer service around! Don't worry if you go on a group ride about your pace. Make it known that you're a newer rider and it may be your first ride with them. I'm sure that someone will take the time to keep you in their sight and offer helpful constructive criticism. DON'T TRY TO KEEP UP!! Ride your ride. They will always wait for you at the next turn. Good luck and enjoy!
