  1. I took a little 267 mile ride on the Shadow today. We started out in Woodsfield and headed West on SR 78. Stopped in Caldwell for some breakfast and continued out 78 to McConnellsvile. We continued on 78 just outside of McConnellsville to a left on SR 377. Be careful here, as the left is at the top of a blind hill. Took 377 all the way to the end at Sharpsburg on SR550. I must say, 377 was awesome. a few series of twisties and the rest was almost constant fast sweepers. From there we continued on 550 to Athens. 550 is newly paved from Sharpsburg almost to Athens. Then it was off to SR 56 all the way to Hocking Hills State Park area. Turned up 374 out to 664 (left) then back to 56 (left) then left again back across 374 to 664 (right) then to Logan. Gassed up in Logan and headed up 93 to New Lexington. From there we shot across Tunnel Hill road to 669, and followed that all the way back to Malta/McConnellsville again, then 78 back to Woodsfield. All in all a great ride. HHSP was packed with tourists of course, but most of the roads elsewhere were sparse traffic and great pavement.

  2. Thanks Durk, Two were 0 speed tip overs. the last was low speed F/end wash out. My right side rib took a shot and i was coughing up yellow poo the next day but now it hurts just a little when I break wind.😀 It's nice to have help picking the beast up when the tires are higher than the seat and bars.

  3. Originally I was going to ride with my daughter today over to West Virginia but she was too sore from volleyball conditioning. So, I made my way solo to South East Ohio via some roads I have not rode in a while. Had a blast. Logged about 400 miles in like eight hours. If you have not ridden 145 north in a while, or never I suggest doing it. They have re-paved just north of 260 and the rest of it is in great shape all the way to 800. The weather was just about perfect today for riding. I hope some of you got to get out and enjoy it as well. It’s been a while since I have ridden on the street and to be honest I was starting to feel like @TimTheAzn. I was getting tired of the commute to get to good roads, but today reminded me that it’s worth it. Even tried to focus on some of the things I noticed about my riding style at my track day at mid-O.

  4. Got rid of my crappy stock bars with the monster back sweep for some fat bars, 2” adjustable risers and cycra hand guards so I can be like @Danimal

  5. I've been riding my FZ6 for almost 5 years now and I still love it. But I was thinking that I could get the wife to ride with more often with a bike that has better ergos for the passenger, so I was thinking of an FJR. I mentioned this to @JustinNck1 who promptly told me that he had seen a great deal on a 2016 in the FJR forums. I titled this as a unicorn because used 2016's are so rare and one for $8000 with a measley 31000 miles is beyond rare. I was worried that this larger bike wouldn't be as much fun in the twisties. But it's great. My neighbor and I ran 26 & 800 today and it was great. The bike is much heavier to maneuver in a parking lot but it handles wonderfully.

  6. Short travel day after work just to get our road legs under us. At the hotel east of Indy now. At O'charleys and just ordered 2 steaks and 2 beers. Let the good times begin.

  7. I have 3 ducatis and not a single piece of Dainese gear. I don't like coffee or espresso. I make a very poor example for the stereotype.
