  1. It will be 4 weeks Friday. She is doing well and improves everyday. The pain is down to just 3 or 4 pills a day.

  2. Got my 40L top case today for the Z. Much, much better than the 55L that I took off the Connie to try. Still a tad big looking but the usable space is about perfect. Best part is both bikes and boxes take the same mount so I can use either box on either bike. So I can now carry my lunch to work, run errands and have a place to stow my helmet and gloves when I get there.

  3. I just got pulled over in KY going 92 in a 70. I also had a passenger without a seatbelt on. He said the ticket was $200. He let me off b/c of my Trump shirt 👍

  4. Fuckin ruined the Z. Oh look at this sleek, fast motorcycle...it would be a shame if someone bolted a fucking bucket to the ass end.....

  6. Two months ago I got stopped by the Policia doing 110 MPH on a toll road in Mexico, I negotiated with the cop down to 1000 pesos ($52) from 1500 pesos on the side of the road. I know the locals only bribe the Policia 500 pesos or less, but I'm a Gringo! Wonder if I'll get points on my Ohio license... LOL, so corrupt in Mexico!

  10. This is why he even pulled you over. Last ticket my wife got last spring the guy had a trainee. Last ticket I got many moons ago the cop had a trainee. You were the example subject of the training exercise. Thanks for playing along.

  14. Pulled a power wheelie on the 2-3 shift at about 100 mph by accident. Took her home and gave her a badly needed bath. 2700 miles in and the rear is close to the wear bars in the center tread. Gonna put some Q3 plus on next season.

  15. Few of us have signed up for the Little Talladega GP STT day down in Alabama on 11/24. Only $99 per day with free photos and a Yamaha demo truck. Not a bad deal at all.

  16. They were all murderous douchebags. It's how you claim land that doesn't belong to you. I didn't care then and I don't care now.

  17. Yea kind what I'm learning. I can only hope the sun will fade it some. Oh well just another story of the road. All the scuffs and scratches on the connie are stories to be told.

  20. Tried alcohol several times and just tried your dry erase trick didn't do it either. It's definitely the black ink because it was black before I started cleaning.

  24. Kent, Hang in there. The wife really needs your support now. My wife had her second knee replacement in May. So we knew what was coming, sorta. A word of advice on the pills, check to be certain that she received the number that the doc prescribed. I'm not saying the pharmacy would mis-count. With all the awareness of the opioid epidemic, some INSURANCE companies (bastards) have started refusing to pay for the full course of the prescription. When we left the hospital, the nurse explained this, but there were too many things going on for me to remember this important fact. And the wife, well, she was drugged at the time, so.... guess whose fault it was two weeks later when she realized that she didn't have enough pills to get through the weekend. Plus, that's when you learn that the doc cannot send a scrip for an opioid by fax or any means except by snail mail. I should have driven the 2 hours to Morgantown. Hindsight. So sorry to hear about her dad's passing. Knowing that it's coming let's you prepare, a bit. But it still hits you. Watch her for depression as she deals with this on top of the frustration of the physical therapy/recovery. Again, hang in there! Keep refilling that ice bag. Keep adjusting that behind-the-knee pillow. Chris

  25. So I went to Lowe's yesterday to pick up some bolts. You know how you have to write on the little baggie what your buying for the checkout person. Well I was carrying my helmet in my hand and the bag rubbed up against my helmet before the marker ink dried on the bag. After trying many different solvents including Windex, non ammonia in Windex, alcohol, non-chlorinated brake parts cleaner, WD-40 and Simple Green I'm still left with this yellowish residue. Anything y'all can think of that will be safe on a matte finish that may take this off?
