Well, I'm loaded for tomorrow. I think. Sure there will be several things forgotten. First day of the year, yippee! Took the Daytona around the block, first time I've ridden it since last May and man o man is it fun. Brakes work, smashed my little jeuvos. Off to a good start!
Weather forecast for the 27th is sunny, no rain, high of 62. Should be a good one. I grabbed like 6 packs of yuengling beer brats at the store yesterday. Grill is gonna get a proper workout.
I'm starting the process to become an MSF trainer for the West Virginia program.
Two years ago I attended the Advanced Riders Course in Marietta in the Ohio program. At the time and each Spring since then the Motorcycle Ohio program has sent mail and or emails to ask if I'd consider becoming an instructor. I live in WV and so I thought I'd ask folks in the WV program. Turns out they were interested and now I'm in the beginning of getting into the program.
So, I'm asking for any insight that other instructors on here would care to share.
Also, I heard in that 2017 ARC session that the MotorcycleOhio program was departing from the MSF approach to use a curriculum that was developed in some other state - WI, or maybe MT. Could somebody involved in the MotorcycleOhio program explain what is different in the new approach?
Thanks,
Chris
Nice run on KY17 from 27 to 467. Some of the smoothest pavement in the NKY area. Don't like the cam mount though--too much of the view is blocked by fairing and dash.
I tried, the conversation went kind of like this...
Hey, guy I know applied.
Cool, how do you know him?
From a motorcycle message board I hang at.
Awesome, we have a ton of bikers here, he might be a great fit! What does he ride?
Well, he sold it about four years ago.
And he still hangs there?
Yea.
Well, thanks for bringing it to our attention.
i know i tired for a year, 99% of them just want to go to some kinda shows and display their carbon fiber window visor. no one interested in going for a drive down a country road etc. Sell the car and get a touring oriented bike and come play with us
