  1. My hunger, the fact that Jen is a very popular member here, and the visual appeal of the sammich image she apparently lifted from the Internet caused me to compromise my integrity. A simple citation from Jen would have prevented this breach of ethics, but now it's too late, and my wife and I remain hungry and terrified of leaving our home. I am, admittedly, complicit, but the majority of blame rests solely on Jen's shoulders. Plagiarism is a serious offense.

  3. Might try to do a mid day ADV loop around the area on this Tue or Wed. looks warm with slight chance of rain. Will stay east of SR33 due to flooding. one stop crossing at 664/37 Bremen, OH is a good start with fuel. 120-150 mile, mixed gravel, Chip/seal, asphalt. Big Bike friendly. Must get out and ride before the GOV orders us to stay home or else!!!

  4. The weight is not as much of an issue as the seat height. But, I have been eye balling both bikes.

  6. A track friend of mine went from a 696 monster to a track ready 650. She loved it, but found it a bit heavy. She tracked it for the last 3 seasons, but just recently bought a 400 for the track and gave the 650 to her boyfriend. I won't see her till Palmer in August (if everything is back to normal by then), but I can get her opinions on it for you if she manages to make it out earlier than that. As long as the tracks are open, she will.

  7. Au contraire--Jen was the one who sent the image to me, largely unsolicited. The delivery of the sammiches did not occurr, and no funds were exchanged. Thus, a bailment was not created.

  8. I was hoping the bagger version would have a little better cornering manners and be more function over form than a typical bagger. If that is the riding position on the production model, it will flop...like BMWs last cruiser attempt.

  9. Facts. I have spent my entire life dealing with migraines that would knock me on my ass for 2-3 days at a time. Zero medicines tried over 10 years worked but guess what does? Tinctures and edibles have literally changed my life 100% for the better.

  10. I used to like CNN back in the 80s and 90s, but they have become sensationalist and gossipy over the years. This may have happened because of their tenuous financial situation. Also, the ads are not only excessive, they are purposely placed so that one cannot read stories before dealing with them. The CDC and NPR do a marvelous job providing credible, honest research and updates.

  11. Normally, I would say yes, 90/10 tire doable when dry but with all of this rain we have been having and the increased 4wd vehicle traffic rutting up the two track roads it may be somewhat difficult in some dirtier sections. I have not been out on the back-roads yet this year so could be some winter wash outs also. As soon as this weather dry's up I am happy to post up some ride's that you will be able to enjoy and build on your ADV style. The Trans Ohio Trail route is very big bike beginner friendly and the section above I70 are in areas that you have most likely blasted thru on the street. Also June 7th. check this ADV ride out: http://hockingvalleymc.com/ Great way to find routes and build on skills.Your high level of Street Skills will transfer with a few tweaks and you will be enjoying even more back roads in the great mid west Motorcycle area. Stay Tune my friend. https://advrider.com/f/threads/the-un-official-trans-ohio-trail-tot-thread.1432028/

  12. We're still working, cause you know, Mission First ©, but we've implemented minimum manning. Which means I get the next two weeks off. As long as we can still cross state borders, my riding co-worker and I are treating it like a vacation and will social distance ourselves down in the Smokies in a couple weeks as long as the weather is decent. The Air Force put a mileage limit on us until further notice, so my Philippines trip is cancelled. Which sucks. I've got a Filipina girlfriend over there....
