  1. had an idea pop in my head last night. who would be up for a winter meet in greet? that documentary "why we ride" will be released on DVD shortly (or so says the website) and if someone has a projector and screen they would be willing to bring out, i will host a meet and great in my Heated 30x48 Pole barn. we could have some sort of pot luck type situation for the food, bring whatever drinks you'd like. (I'm trying to get some 190 ever clear so i can make apple pie) we can watch the movie, hang out, good food, good people.. who's down? date would be depending on when the DVD gets released. ill be ordering one as soon as they are for sale.

  3. Hey, if you went camping with some friends and got real drunk and woke up in a tent the next morning with mud on your knees and a sore turd-cutter would you tell anyone about it? No? Good, wanna go camping? Seriously tho, I camp at least 4 times a year and am looking into doing a trip on the bike. I am pretty limited to what I can bring but figured if we had a group of four or five people and shared lanterns, stove etc.. that it would be doable to have a decently equipped camp out . Any takers? I'll bring the bourbon.

  10. pretty cool if it works for other types of collisions. Statistically rear end car bike collisions are actually pretty rare. Cars pulling into or in front of bicycles are much more common. And head injuries are most common from single vehicle falls. So the helmet would have to work reliably in those situations before I would consider a change. Plus where would I mount my rear view mirror and visor if I didnt wear a hard helmet Craig

  11. It is cold and rainy, snow is about to fall. I got home from work on time, no overtime today. I had a few beers and thought it would be good idea to re-read some of my old posts. I joined in 2009, read the thread on working in Marysville, read about selling my Katana, and my first interest in firearms. Then I re-read the thread "my dad has cancer". Cried alittle. Well, that is not true, cried alot. Then smiled. Miss you Dad. Life makes us stronger. Good night for now.

  13. As a fact, I do have a Panigale ABS. I got the first base model that Commonwealth received. I got a decent discount and two years free scheduled maintenance. I understand that Ducati Indy is a great shop too. Commonwealth appears to do quite a few race bikes, probably not as great for race prep as Indy BUT I'm not racing my 1199 and currently have no intention of doing so. Chris

  14. Really? Sounds like a plus to me. Walk in, grab a Mt Dew and Snickers out of the machines in the back corner, and walk around eavesdropping on stuff like that.

  15. i live 5 minutes from them, but won't ever buy. yeah yeah, they have a big selection (of bikes) yadda yadda, and big overhead costs that justify their inflated prices, yadda yadda... i'll only go to window shop.

  16. Won't go there again. Bought one bike there, bad experience all around. I happily drive to Louisville for my Ducati needs, which is triple the distance than going to Comp Ass! Chris

  17. I have had tires done there. Gear selection is limited, but lots of bikes to see. Definitely more of a bike dealer and shop than gear store. Friendly staff and techs.

  18. Google "Augustusgreat". Nice to see Comp Acc sales people spamming forums. One bit of advice; when spamming, don't use the same screen name you use for Photobucket, Youtube, and your online resume.
