  1. It's with a heavy heart that I tell you all the news that we lost one of our own. @Howabusa Kent Howard (Robert K. Howard) Kent passed away at his home on Sept 12,2025 of an unknown illness. Many of us have ridden with Kent on his old Hyabusa and more recently on his FJR. Spent many a night at deal's gap with him and chasing each other around the Appalachian Mountains. His passing was very unexpected and shared with me by his widow Connie. There was no services and has been laid to rest next to his father. Just a few weeks before his passing he did get one last trip to Deals Gap and got one last lick at those mountains and slayed the dragon for old times sake. And I'm sure he wanted you all to know his FJR hit 124,000miles during that trip.. 😂..an inside joke his good friends will get. Ride on my old friend you will be missed.

  3. I miss some things about those days sure, but they center mostly around the people and not the insane number of miles trying to haul ass lol. I’m much happier now just toodling along on some back country road, waving at the cows and looking for that perfect spot to set up my chair, get out the stove and make some coffee and have a puff all while looking at the sky. Even riding the enduro, there will be days of long highway hauls, awful weather and shitty road conditions. It’s all part of it. I’ve been fishing a bit with an old friend, and got this beautiful northern pike a few weeks ago, in the upper Cuyahoga River! That’s been helping keep me sane

  4. Swapped the touring windscreen for OEM and replaced the CRG-knockoff levers for OEM, but black vs chrome. Looking better each mod... Now I just need Santa to bring me gold suspenders.

  5. If I thought you were gonna break it, I wouldn't offer to lend it. If it breaks while you're riding it, that's just coincidence. Shit happens. I get where you're coming from, but the offer stands if you need a change of pace. You can ride any of them, actually. The ZRX is pretty fun if you like lots of speed with minimal braking available. 😆

  6. Thanks people. Sunny will be on the new calendar! Second place, not far behind. https://procycle.us/blog/news-events/congratulations-our-2026-calendar-photo-contest-winners Getting nervous now for the upcoming Horizons Unlimited event (leaving in two days) one: I have to speak to an audience. Hard to not get emotional. two: temps will be in the upper 30’s, lower 40’s at night. Not my favorite camping weather. I’ve already decided to take an additional down comforter and a second insulated floor mat here is the announcement of my participation https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17Jo4PHGW1/?mibextid=wwXIfr

  10. It's on the lead now. That said we only need top three to make the calendar. But first is always way better.

  17. Doing ok. Caring for my elderly father. Going stir crazy wishing I was in the road again….anywhere. Horizons Unlimited is having their first ever travelers meeting in NY state next month, and I was asked to present there about my travels. So my niece is covering for me here at my Dad’s, and I’ll be riding to Canandigua NY on 10/8 for the event running the 9-12. It’ll be nice to see some friends there as well. So looking forward to that. thanks for asking. Hope you’re doing well fresh shoes!

  20. What you have here is my Super Sport Goldwing. She is fast, agile, corners like she’s on rails, and stops on a dime. NOT!!! I took a solo trip of the same route my wife and I went on last weekend just at a different pace. Nobody poking, squeezing my ribs etc. to slow down. It’s the most I’ve been engaged on a ride in a while. I miss having a sport bike. I tried to ride it like it was a sport bike but I’m not sure it liked it. Lots of near redline rpm’s and a time or 2 on the rev limiter 🤷‍♂️. Still in one piece and running though Someday soon I’ll get a more competent bike. Just had to drop 5k on a transmission rebuild for the Trans Am. Sadly that rebuild has issues and has to go back to the builder. Hope you guys are doing well.

  21. Your bike shouldn't be using any oil. If it is check valve seals and ring blow by. Oh wait it's a Harley, that normal. 🤣

  22. Truck is down for repairs. Lincoln is down for repairs. ZRX has a flat tire. RT has a flat tire. Day 3 of RS commuting to/from work in the rain has been a treat. My commute time is considerably shorter for some reason.

  25. 420 miles of damp, misty, twisty goodness. Except when the guy behind me had to stop and piss. He hid himself AND his bike in the woods.

  26. 351 miles of damp, misty, twisty goodness. New Continental Sport Attacks are glued to the road. I'm sure they'll be great for the 2500 miles they'll last.
