  1. sorry, this was all I could think of when I saw that pic
  2. shit, my bad, i didn't see this until just now. well, now you know i have one if he ever trashes it (somehow)
  3. that's tough to hear, you have my condolences. I'll be sure to heed the advice and play twice as hard with the little guy tonight.... (Tucker as a puppy) (and here he is now, being generally useless around the house)
  4. i have a stock one in my garage, just sitting around.
  5. ahh, the timeless art of seduction...
  6. The less rake angle you have, the more the bike will want to 'bite' into a corner. Too much could lead to a positive feedback condition, where the bars want to go to lock.
  7. a really really short description of the geometry effect is: 1.) if the front and back are lowered different amounts, you will end up with a different rake angle in your front forks. 2.) any amount of lowering in the front will shorten the wheelbase, as the front forks move up, the wheel moves toward the triple, in the horizontal plane.
  8. I did it preemptively because I found a good deal, but judging by your track attendance record, and your pics, I'd say getting a track slut together is probably the best idea to save your street baby some heartache... Imagine my disappointment when I found out racing sandals aren't really good for racing.... That '03 GSXR600 I have in my garage was delivered to my door in a trailer for exactly 2k.
  9. aaaaand that's what you do when a beat up old track bike can be had for 2k. You think I'd buy a gixxer if it wasn't for that? Depending on the damage, I can easily see myself doing over 2k in damage to my street bike in just 2 get-offs at the track. I think of the track bike as a self-propelled set of race plastics for the CBR.
  10. It's all the book. I know it's cliche to say the book was better than the movie, but in this case, it's not even close. If you read the book, you'd wonder how anyone was going to attempt to make a movie out of that insanity.... I'm just glad I'm not the only nerd who knew that book oh, and I read it in high school during a week of in-school detention I had during junior year....
  11. at least someone knows the answer to the great question of the universe....

  15. oh, I am totally on the wrong side! I told them later, that when I came around the corner, I saw them and was like "holy shit, they're right there" and I stopped looking at the road, and it made me slow down, and when I slowed, I had to downshift, but I missed first, so i was getting all pissy & flustered and stood up and kicked the shifter to make it go into gear, but by then I was all over the place. it was a shit show, just in time for my first riding picture ever
  16. that's your new slogan now.... "MJ...awkward and hilarious"
