IMO, this is great news. We're talking about possibly one of the great medical breakthroughs in the history of our species. If this leads to breakthroughs in mass tissue regeneration, think of al the lives that would be given back to the paralyzed and the terminally ill. Even if we just think of our own little niche on this forum, imagine the riders who were seriously injured who could be repaired if this kind of research were to show promise. The potential is limitless for this kind of research. I think this is great stuff, here.

I won't be going to the shows, but I'll expect pictures and stories involving varying degrees of inappropriate behavior. As an aside, I started both bikes last night when I got home from work, since it was a balmy 30 degrees for once. My God, I missed that sound. And both at the same time sounded very nice. They each have a very different tone, but together it was glorious. I got the impression they were both very happy to be running.

Road bikes are the worst. My step father has ridden competitively since college, and he has more money in bikes in the basement than in cars in the garage. His custom built Waterford and his custom carbon frame both cast about $5k each, just for the frame & forks. The Kestrel carbon TT bike I'm building will end up around $3k total, and it's a gonna be a piece of shit, relatively speaking. It's all the result of exotic materials and using all this high-tech research for parts development. There's a custom builder called Seven, and I read an article recently about their sales: I guess it's all about what people that love the sport are willing to pay.
