  1. Expected LeBron James in this thread.
  2. You just broke my brain, sir. I welcome your attempts at heartfelt reconcilliation.
  3. http://www.rickroushmotorsports.com/inventory/listings/l0009.html 1991 Honda #P1632A 1991 CBR1000 Hurricane Sale : $2,499 Miles : 35,488 Color : Red Motor : 1000cc This is a possibility.
  4. too old. criteria are as follows: more than 75 horsepower touring-capable (by that, I mean, buzzing around at 75mph, comfortably, without taxing the engine) two-up capable less than $2500 less than 30k miles, unless it's a bike that will do 80k or something crazy like that with no major service.
  5. Oh, that one with like 37,000 miles? Seen that one, he's been trying to sell that one for a few months now. Price is up at 1700 though, just FYI.
  6. http://youngstown.craigslist.org/mcy/1657372380.html http://youngstown.craigslist.org/mcy/1684302367.html http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/1697082447.html Stuff like this IMHO.
  7. Trying to keep it below like $2000 for an offer. That's the absolute max that I should go at this point. There are a couple V65 Sabres that I'd like to look at but for right now I'm focusing on selling the current bike rather than double-fisting 'em when I should be saving for a wedding ya heard?
  8. el cap ur a dick lolz yeah that RF900 sold already though, so no worries broheims. :wtc:
  9. Alvin's Jewelers is going out of business and everything there is cheap as hell. I'd start there, or at one near you.
  10. Haven't started it. Battery is dead. I was just inspecting the overall and getting forum feedback before I considered it further. I'm expecting everything to be real heavily varnished in there. The bike has been sitting for at least a season without running, and I'm hesitant to even ask him to start it as-is. Was thinking about begging one of my mechanically-inclined friends to roll out and help me do a bit of surgery before riding it back home for the first round of repairs, if at all possible.
  11. Pictures incoming of the damage The cowl/rear fairing is actually "unbuckled" and needs snapped back into place. :-X Pegs for me and pillion are both sturdy, though, and handlebars seem even. Now, I know nothing about chains, so someone holler at me and see if this is acceptable or no. I'm leaning towards no, but... And, finally, fork seals. My finger came away black here. Don't think it's soot or road grime.
  12. heh, just got back. seems to need... fork seals (bit of oil on the legs right where they sink into the forks) a chain (it's dry and has spot rust... how much rust is acceptable? my bike is shaft drive) and a front tire, at least. Very little tread left in the center. Body is pretty rough in spots and the brake light cover is busted and loose on the left side... from what the seller said he squiddied it while trying to wheelie and yut-uggghed into a lowside lolz. Plus he hasn't used it in two years so it's got gas older than my shoes in the carbs. man.... Am I going to be a dick if I say I can't go over like $1400?
  13. My extreme pleasure... It really is a great starter bike. Saved my keister a few times when I should have been shat out onto the curb, lol.
  14. aaa miighty foo-oorr-treesss iiss ourr river...
  15. I'm leaving to see it in about half an hour. This is basically gonna be to see whether or not I fit on it and if the little lady fits behind my bulbous ass And, yes, I'll be taking pictures and maybe have a little walkaround with the camera too. Will keep this thread updated.
  16. Probably: Rear flooded out repeatedly, and originally thought it was a stuck needle or something. Had it torn down to the individual carb components... everything seems cool with those. Some oil leakage from around where the head joins to the engine case. White steam/smoke from that cylinder's exhaust. Engine's not bound up or seized so I'm not thinking it's a cylinder cracked or a piston bound up... and with only 13000 miles I'd be HIGHLY surprised if it were a major structural component broken. Never noticed any grinding/evil noises... never found any pieces/shavings in the oil (and we had it drained out since the flooding started). Radiator sealent fixed the problem temporarily, for a ride of 10 or so miles. Therefore, I'm thinking it's the gasket and not something more serious.
  17. Final picture is from my first day with the bike home in 2008 btw
  18. one dollar per CC lolz Sup guys. Trying to get rid of my bike to upgrade, and I'm gonna give OR a 20% discount over craigslist. Essentially, you can think of the VX800 as a bigger SV650, with the engine from the intruders. It's got 13000 miles on it. This bike has been my baby for two years now, and it's getting the point where it'd not benefit me as a rider any further to keep it around. I need something for the freeways, and this is definitely more of a back-country sweeper-eater and an excellent commuter. Needs a head gasket (probably) and a shock/springs replacement (I have the shocks NIB from Progressive). New clutch basket, newer tires, several replacement parts and extras like stators, stock mirrors and turn signals, etc. Starter, electrics, brakes, clutch, choke, petcock, etc, are all in perfect shape, as is the final drive, driveshaft, gears, and the seat. All the maintenance was done by Rider's Choice in South Euclid. The bike sits in Willoughby, and you can PM or call me with offers or questions. Thanks! 440 227 5314
  19. yeah, it's got that kinda testarossa look to it with the vents. anyway. this one apparently has a dead battery and needs the carbs cleaned but i'm going to offer him $1500 as it's not running and i'm poor.
