  1. Mannnnn, why does this always have to happen the weekend I go down to GA... Looks like the entire NEO crew is going.
  2. Those 5k miles dont mean poop if they are all highway miles lol.
  3. I've been riding for 10 years, and these guys can still get me in over my head easily if I am not careful. More respect will come from making responsible decisions than trying to prove yourself. Trust me. It isn't just about the roads we ride either. It's about fatigue, and mentality as well, things new riders probably dont think about. Last year's epic ride, I pulled myself out of the medium fast group to save some of my energy for the long ride back. I suggest new riders stay away from this ride. Especially since the NEO guys can be pretty quick even when they think they arent being quick. Like Derek said, we will be MORE than happy to ride with you any other time so you can get your bearings. NinjaDoc said it pretty well to me a few years ago when I unknowingly joined a group of CORE riders late in the season a few years ago (You need at least 5k miles to begin to feel comfy riding at the Pace.). I'll admit I was way in over my head. Flash forward 2-3 years and countless miles in the twisties, I am beginning to feel more confident on the backroads at the PACE.
  4. You don't say that! Our bikes are perfect!Sent from my iPhone.
  5. Checked the gap on the plugs and they were what they were supposed to be. Put em back in along with a new air filter and she started right up fine. Vacuum noise is still there. At least I got the plug issue figured out. Sent from my iPhone.
  6. Welcome! Fellow NEO'r here. Sent from my iPhone.
  7. New spark plugs, new air filter and new OR decals. Sent from my iPhone.
  8. Welcome! Sent from my iPhone.
  9. I have a Bikemaster in the Triumph. I think I had Bikemasters in my previous CBR's as well. Always kept on a tender during the winter and when it's cold out. Summer I ride almost every day so I don't think it's needed. I did have to replace the Trumpet's battery at the end of last season, I blame that on the previous owner though. Just like my filthy air filter lol.
  10. I can say they are the same exact plugs. Same model number and look exactly the same. I cannot say for 100% the were gapped correctly because I didn't check them (going to have to buy that little tool).
  11. Hah! Coming from a car background that was the very first thing I did! I think I am going to let it just idle and not touch it until the fan kicks on when I get everything sorted. Then I'll see where I am at. This is awesome, my car and now my bike are giving me crap. I cant win lol.
  12. Put new plugs in it yesterday. Put everything back together, ran like poop. Smelled fuel coming out of the exhaust. Just ran shitty. Pulled the new plugs out, put the old ones back in, ran fine. Given, I didn't let the fan kick on with the new plugs (apparently that's what you are supposed to do to let the ECU get familiar with the new goodies?) When I rode it out to a meet yesterday evening, I do think that sound was gone, I'll have to verify today when I get home. Still waiting on that new air filter, should be here Monday. Ah! Now I have a better idea of owner history, a good owner, two poopy owners, and now its back in the hands of someone caring again. I may have to take you up on that offer if it is still giving be the business after Monday when I ensure the new plugs are gap'd correctly (.7 I believe) and I have that new filter on there AND I give the ECU time to adjust. Unless you guys think its not a good idea to let it run rough like that on warm up... Oh and I also found that a wire seemed to get corroded to the point it decided to disconnect itself, so I had to cut it and shove it back into the plug for a temp fix until I go to Porshe (a buddy works there) to let me grab some of those spades to properly connect the wires back.
  13. So THATS what that random string of cloth with buttons on it is for in my new A*'s jacket.
  14. Everything is for sale for the right price. I am really digging Jbot's FZ1. Then I'd finally be a part of the NEO group of sport touring machines. haha.
  15. I took off the airbox completely to do the plugs yesterday and this was hooked up fine. No holes in the lines or anything.
  16. My friend from highschool hasn't had a job since he was 16. He has a nice 2500 Duramax, a brand new Jetta Sport Wagon, a 1JZ Powered 3 Series BMW, and a pristine 2003 BMW M5 and a VERY nice apartment. On top of that hes got some stupid couple grand a month allowance on top of him having a joint bank account with his rich ass dad. He is a stay at home son and doesn't do jack shit for the stuff he has and has had since highschool. (Lets not turn this into a parenting discussion, they have shown me how not to be parents.) Life isn't fair. Deal with it. I've learned that at a very young age. It isn't an excuse.
  17. Well since my airbox is already 1/2 off, I suppose I could check it. Would I need to take the entire thing off like I was doing plugs?
  18. Hmmm I'll have to look into that..... LOL Sent from my iPhone.
  19. LOL right? Well, I'm glad I found out it needed immediate changing. I wonder if I'll feel a power difference once I put a new one on there haha Sent from my iPhone.
  20. So I took off the tank to check my intake and filter lets just say I need a new filter... I am going to order another and replace it but I still don't see a reason for that noise.... Unless you guys think it's due to the fogged up filter... Sent from my iPhone.
  21. Did these end up selling? Sent from my iPhone.
  22. Hmmm, those bags and some helibars would make my trumpet a crazy sport touring machine....
