  1. I was gonna post a buddys VTR250 up, but I think he is looking for around 1500 for it. I still have my Yamaha FZ 600. I may come off of it for $850 for an OR member. Just got new rubber for the front today, and painting the wheels tomorrow.

  2. I have sold shit on there, and I have dealt with morons too. I advertised my old garage on there for sale.....well, come tear it down, and you can have it. This douchebag and his 2 boys show up in a conversion van with some new tools to tear down and haul away a 12x20 building. they worked for 4 hours, and didnt even have the roof off of it, then they told me the wood was rotten, and they didnt want it. I told him to get the fuck off of my property, and sent them packin.

  3. I just passed that last night, but decided not to take 148. We were headed south out of Barnesville on 800, over to Wilson, and I wanted to cut over to 26 into Wilson, but had rememberd that they are chip and sealing everything over that way. I was not about to try it as hot as it was last night. I would say with 100% confidence that there is loose stone all over that.

  4. We were talking about doing an up and down trip.....go down 800 to the river, up 255, down 536, and back up 556. Total will be less than 100 miles from Woodsfield, but getting there from Cambridge is about 46 miles.

  5. Great ride on Friday...left Cambridge right at 10 am, and headed south on 209, crossed over to 821 south. You get some impressive views of the Rockies Express gas line they are running through here. Took 313 east off of 821, then to 285 south to 566 south of Seneca Lake which is virgin asphalt, has some twisties and some nice humps. 146 takes us to Mt. Ephraim, then down to 147 to head into Summerfield. Road is kinda twisty, and clean. We took 78 into Woodsfield, stopped at my Mom and Dads for a few, then headed to 536 down to the river. That is a really fun, really clean road, and is a lot better than I remembered it in a cage. If you have not rode it, get there, it is a clean smooth ride. The guy riding with me used the binders so much on his HD, he was having brake fade. We headed north on rt 7 for about 10 miles, and headed up 556 to Beallsville. Another fun clean twisty road with minimal traffic up out of the Ohio river valley. Make sure you stop at the Beallsville Diner to eat....Outstanding home cooked food, and cobbler. Took 145 over to 800 north, all the way to Piedmont where we caught 22 back into Cambridge. 146 Mile round trip. I have to say that my old Yamaha FZ600 is a hoot to ride.......for the first 50 miles, then it really hurts my ass. I don't think it will break my heart to part ways with it. That was the furthest it has gone, it ran good, shifted good, and handled great. If anyone wants to come down and ride, give me a shout, I will be glad to go along if I am off work, just don't expect me to take the FZ.

  6. You guys will have a good time. I live in Cambridge, but grew up in Woodsfield and lived there for 26 years altogether. I am very familiar with all of the roads that run to the river. 255 out of Woodsfield, off of 800 past 26 is fun, but I dont know the condition of it. 556 runs out of Beallsville, and is quite a ride, but ditto on the condition..

  7. I am no mechanical guru, but I can offer a little insight. Carb bikes are usually set up for a particular range of conditions. For example, altitude and air density. Both of my bikes are carb bikes, and there are nice cool dry days when they are balls to the wall....others when they feel like they wont get out of their own way. FI bikes can adjust to all of these conditions on their own with the sensors installed on the bike. Prime example was my ride to the top of Santeelah in Tennessee following my buddy on a FI Road King. Above 3000 feet, he was walking the dog on me, almost like it was struggling to breathe, but the FI adjusted and kept going. I made it, but was well behind. My next bike will be FI, if my wife lets me

  8. I'll sell ya my 1988 FZ600, its running and all there, needs bodywork and paint, and a windshield. Has a new valvecover gasket, clutch lever, throttle cable, neck bearings re greased, I bought the mids and lowers for it. I dont have to get rid of it, but I have about a thousand other things I could spend the cash on. $900 bills isnt free, but it is fun.

  9. Glad you got to experience some great roads in my neck of the woods. I grew up in Woodsfield, the last town you went through before you hit 536. The view at key dash point is pretty awesome too. I have told the guys on some of the other forums I am on that I can take them on roads comparable to the Dragon, but they wont come and ride. I live in Cambridge, theres good roads here too. If you head south on 800 out of Woodsfield, you can hit 26 to Marietta, one of Car and Drivers 10 best. If you pass that up, you can take 255 off of 800 down to rt 7, but I cant garuntee the condition of the road.

  10. Just made this today for the guys on my shift at the fire dept.

    Chicken Cacciatore

    3-5 lbs cut up fryer ( I use bone in thighs, good flavor and cheap)

    coat in flour, salt and pepper,put enough olive oil in the bottom of the skillet to coat it, cook in a large skillet until browned on both sides, but dont cook all the way through.

    Pull the chicken out, then cook 2 medium onions, sliced into thin rings, 2 green peppers chopped until softened. Add in 2-4 cloves of chopped garlic, and sliced portobello mushrooms.

    Add 2 cans tomato sauce, 2 cans diced tomatoes( I use the garlic/basil ones) and 1/4 cup red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar.

    Bring it back to a boil, add the chicken back in, and cover and cook for 30-40 minutes.

    Serve over linguine

    If you prefer, after it is all cooked in the skillet, it can be combined in a crock pot and simmered for a couple hours on low.

    You can use any kind of chicken, boneless skinless will work well also, especially in a crock pot where it wont dry out.
