  1. Yeah, I was finding the same thing. Vintage sportbikes are a bitch. I got it running tonight though. I will prolly be looking for just a can and a pipe from the collector. It doesn't sound bad now, but it looks like shit.

  2. Hey, I recently bought a 1988 Yamaha FZ600 for $150. Now as you can guess, it needs some work. One of the first things I would like to do is replace the stock can, because it has this nice sheet metal patch on it, and it looks like crap. I know that Jardine makes a pretty reasonable slip on, but I am hard pressed to find a can specifically for this bike. Anyone know of any other Mfgs, making a universal?

  3. I will try to get some pics up later today, being mothers day and all, I have to do a bunch of running. The FZ is a pile of parts right now. I made the mistake of not taking pics when I brought it home, too anxious to tear into it.

  4. Hey, Been lurking for a while, and been riding for a few years. I own a 2000 Honda Shadow ACE 750 Custom, and just bought a vintage 1988 Yamaha FZ600. This is my first sportbike, and I am pretty happy with my $150 investment. It is a resto project, but I am hoping to have it on the street by the end of July. I am missing the lowers on both sides, and a few other parts, so if anyone knows of an old FZ sitting around, let me know. I may be interested in the parts.

  5. I see a lot of sport bikes...I'll throw my cruiser into the ring
