  1. Yeah, drinks are free in the casino, but if you are lucky enough to be able to gamble 24 hrs a day while you are there, then I want a job like yours. It doesn't matter how much luck you have, you will eventually lose your ass for a streak, and want to get the hell out of a casino. I agree with Cheech....a whole week will definitely take its toll on you. Don't know what it is about Vegas, but in a 4 day trip, I will pull at least 2 24 hour days, then lose consciousness on the plane on the way home. I am not beyond scoping out a waitress, and sticking a dollar in a penny machine to look like I am playing to get a drink

  2. Drinks? Check out Diablos Cantina in front of the Monte Carlo, the PUB in Aria has nickel beer at the bar from 9 to midnight every Tuesday. Ellis Island has the best steak special, that is not on the menu, and a mighty fine micro brewery. Downtown, Binions has Bennys Bullpen where you can get a pizza and a pitcher of beer for $10. The Golden Gate has a shrimp cocktail that is huge for $1.99. The Peppermill up by the Riviera is pretty good eats too. We have eaten at the expensive places before, they were good, but I like to use my cash for fun.

  3. Leaving CMH on Sunday for Vegas. DO NOT book through orbitz, expedia or any other online travel rape site. Take half an hour a day and sit and search the sites for best airfares. Personally I never fly anything but Southwest. NYNY is nice, we stayed there once. We almost always stay at the MGM Grand, but this trip we are staying at the Monte Carlo. We have not paid for a room in 9 years, and there is only one way to do it. Find a Hotel/ casino that you like, and wold like to stay at on your next trip. Sign up for the players card, and stick it in every machine you play, every table you sit at to play, and if you lose it, get it replaced at the players club. The casino tracks your coin in to rate your play and give you comps. Table games are rated per hour, based on amount bet per hand. The strip hotel going rate is $25/ hand to get rated. That is why slots are a better bet if you are looking for freebies. Stuff to do other than gamble? Drink is my #1 priority....other than that, since you are a first timer, the strip hotels are modern marvels themselves. The architecture is incredible. If you want to ride, there are several places to rent bikes. We rented a new Road King from LVHD for $100 for 5 hours, and rode out through the Valley of Fire State Park. Awesome ride, came back on the western shore of Lake Mead. It was in October, and one of our favorite trips. I could talk forever, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

  4. Thanks for the props, I had a lot of fun messing with it. I will probably find another project to resurrect. If I can help a new rider get on something safe, makes me feel pretty good....startup cost in riding is usually the biggest holdback for people interested in riding.

  5. Here it is, finally as done as I am gonna make it right now. Paint is finished, not show quality, but daily rider. Has new fork seals, front tire, battery, turn sigs, and probably a few things I am forgetting. All of the plastic has been purchased from e-bay and a few from FZ enthusiasts. Starts on the first push of the starter. What needs done you ask? New vinyl on the seat, and the insides of the fairings need to be painted. Probably will need a new clutch at the end of the riding season. Great first bike, its been fun, but time for it to go. I have a guy from here coming to look on Saturday. $1000 takes it, no trades, no best offers, $1000 covers what I have in it.

  6. Hey do you guys think this is a good deal/combo? I'm getting the female a DSLR for her birthday and from what you guys told me earlier this is (I'm 99% sure) the camera I want to get her.

    Critique away please.

    Here's the link.
