mine says 2200 ml as well. the manual says 2.6 qts which translates to about 83 ounces. i actually use a measuring cup to make sure i get the right amount

should be close to 3 qts man. mine holds like 2.6. check your owners manual and make sure you put in the right amount. oh and did you fill up the filter before you put it on?
