Spaceghost, I'll probably be picking your brain about this thing. I need a clutch, no idea what to get, and I need it now. Fucker slips every time the turbo spools, tomorrow I'm getting a ride to pick up my dad's truck so I'll have something else to drive in case the clutch smokes itself before I can start working on it. Anyway, it's a 2003 WRX, 95,000 miles. Looks to have had some sort of suspension work as I'm pretty sure its been lowered, BOV, otherwise I think it is stock. I got this thing for a steal, only $4500 plus my negative equity for trading in the truck. The reason for that price is that the body is shit. It needs: front bumper cover, front passenger fender, both passenger doors, and has hail damage on the roof, hood, trunk, and rear passenger quarter, so if anyone knows where I can pick up stock parts cheap I would appreciate it.

Right now I'm trying to adjust my finances to make room for a new mortgage, which means my money pit truck needs to go, and I have no idea what to replace it with, so I'm looking for suggestions. My needs: Stay under $7,000 Must be on a lot so I can trade in my truck ~25 mpg (or better) reasonably reliable. I drive a ton of miles, so it needs to hold up Fun to drive Other things that will make a car more attractive would be RWD and a manual trans. I would like to get into a later 240sx or even an N/A MKIV Supra, but I doubt I'll find either of those on a lot anywhere in Ohio.

I bought the car I had for next to nothing. It was rusted to the point of being completely unsafe to drive, so I parted it out. I sold some parts, but still have the engine and tranny, what was left went to the crusher. I still have the seats, but I don't think they are nearly as nice as what you already have. I removed the engine and trans together so all of the clutch stuff is still there, they have never been separated. I have someone on here that used to work at the RX7 store that has heard it run before it was pulled. Part of the harness is gone, it was too screwed up to remove intact, but all of the engine and accessories are there. It's been sitting in a friend's garage for a few years, and now he's trying to sell the house so I need to get my stuff out of there. Let me know if you are interested.

Wouldn't that rear be more narrow than a fullsize truck rear? To the threadstarter; 8.8 is plenty strong trucks get most of their braking from the front, except when under load. You would be far better off with good trailer brakes that are properly set up don't downgrade your truck by pulling the 4.6 out, except to replace it with a 5.4
