  1. I'll have plenty of ammo for when the zombies come
  2. Florida has the best gun laws evar. Thorne (and everyone else that wants to better themselves at shooting) watch this video: http://video.google.com/url?vidurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2Fvideoplay%3Fdocid%3D-4584332856867071363%26q%3Dtodd%2Bjarret%26hl%3Den&docid=-4584332856867071363&ev=v&esrc=sr1&usg=AL29H22Sp6oCzQe17iwIfLYZ0dLZnlzhYw That's Todd Jarrett, IPSC shooting champion showing how the most important thing that you can do to be accurate is use a proper grip. Watch that video, see if you can use the grip he teaches, then watch the video again.
  3. Fuck that, I'll just go to New Albany and use up my free lane rental tokens. Sorry, I just don't see the point in spending money on specialty ammo when I already have plenty sitting around
  4. Sorry again for my ignorance about ammo, but... Is normal factory ammo frangible, or would i not be able to use my CCI Blazer and UMC ammo at this range?
  5. Question; Does handgun ammo have to be frangable too, or just rifle ammo?
  6. lol http://www.truckinohio.net/filedump/mike/hummer2belly.jpg
  7. might be in, depends on the date. my work schedule sucks donkey balls
  8. They do both, I know because I have shot both there. As to which models and calibers, don't remember.
  9. New Albany allows that, I forget what their limit is but it's pretty good
  10. Seriously. When I got my dog, I wasn't working the 12 hour shifts that I am now...
  11. I'm down, New Albany preferred but I'm also cool with Blackwing, not much of a fan of Powder Room. I'm only available today and tomorrow though, after that it will be a while before I have any time again
  12. What kind of gas milage does it get? I might be interested
  13. That's a Kel Tec, btw, looks like great fun at a good price. As for the rest of this thread, holy fucking clusterfuck. I own a subcompact Springer XD 9mm. I also happen to have a 1911 (.45, for those that don't know). I honestly can say that I am just as accurate with both guns, as in I can keep every shot in the center circle of a target without taking a lot of time between shots. The XD has a polymer frame, and a steel slide, so it's lighter than fully steel guns, but it's not stupid light, like Stillman's Taurus that I shot once, and didn't like. The 1911 is a fully steel gun, which helps to tame the felt recoil from the .45 rounds. The XD, only being in 9mm, honestly has a bit less felt recoil even though it weighs a lot less. I am able to shoot the XD a lot faster at the same accuracy as the 1911, because it is much easier to line up a followup shot. I love both the guns, and enjoy shooting them equally. The weight of the gun only has an affect on felt recoil. Also, a gun is only as accurate as the person shooting it, unless the gun is an absolute piece of dog shit like a Jennings. Any major brand gun is going to be far more accurate than you are. Unless you are a an IDPA Champion, which no one on here is. That being said, go with what works for you. Everyone's hands are different, and different sizes and weights of guns work differently for different people. Some people would prefer a heavier gun to cut down on recoil, some people don't mind lots of recoil, or would prefer something more concealable and therefore smaller and lighter, or may go with a smaller caliber with a smaller gun, whatever. If you want a 9mm, you can really go with whatever size/weight gun you want because recoil won't be a big issue unless you are shooting a tiny little pocket gun, and those aren't good range guns anyway. Spaceghost, as for the ported XD models, the porting allows the gases to expel out the top of the gun to help prevent muzzle flip. Useful on a .40, not at all necessary on any other XD model IMO, as the .40 has a lot more pressure behind it than a 9mm or .45 ACP. For some reason I'm thinking I've heard negative things about the ported models, but I don't remember what, feel free to search the forums at xdtalk.com Lastly, I don't like Glocks. I don't like the grip angle, in order to line up the sights I feel that my wrists are at a very unnatural angle. I don't like the failure rates in the .40 models (google glock kaboom for more info). I don't like the single safety, and how many news stories I've read about cops and negligent discharges. And, I don't like how every retard that thinks they need a gat but don't care to research anything thinks that Glocks are the best thing ever because thats what Denzel carried in Training Day. I've heard some of the most inaccurate gun related information come from people that own Glocks and nothing else.
  14. You are getting no help until you hook up the steering
  15. Go to New Albany, and ask for Greg Leach, he's a damn good guy. If you are unsure as to what you want, RENT. Put 50 - 100 rounds through each gun that looks interesting to you before you drop hundreds of dollars on something that you may end up regretting. My recommendation would be to get a Springfield XD, I absolutely love mine. Also try out the Sigs, HK USP, Glocks, CZ, all good guns.
  16. read the original post again :nutkick:
  17. I noticed this on the way home from work today. I listen to country, but the wazu was by far my favorite station in the area. I had to listen to the mp3 player on the way home
  18. Dodge has the better Diesel's, honestly I think chevy auto's are almost as likely to have problems as any Dodge. Dodge's are probably easier to find in extended cab than chevy, probably the other way around for true 4 doors. For gas engines, Dodge may be a bit more reliable, but a bit more expensive to fix, evens out IMO. If it says anything, I'm looking right now for a V8 96-98 Ram to trade my Tundra in on, since I'm trying to cut down on expenses.

    number help

http://www.anywho.com/rl will give you the caller so long as the number is listed and not a cell phone. If that doesn't bring it up, I think you have to pay someone to get the info.
  20. Definately have to agree with that. Call up any reputable tow truck company, their drivers should be able to take care of you. Just don't call Shamrock, those guys are assholes.
  21. How come about 2 years ago when the Ohio river rose something like 20 feet in two hours, putting Marietta and surrounding cities under water that went way above the 100 year flood level, NOBODY made a big fuss about it? They had no warning it was coming, it just happened. Half of Marietta, including the historical downtown area was completely underwater. So why didn't they get any federal help? The people there didn't mind coming together to help each other out, instead of killing each other over some heineken.
  22. Kinda straying from the topic a bit... Now that the Dem's are in office, they plan on cutting government support to oil company's. I agree with the fact that they shouldn't be getting government support when they are making record profits, BUT if we cut government funding, are they going to raise prices in order to keep making these record profits? Or will the consumer be left alone, and prices will continue to be based off of whatever voodoo it's currently based off of? I would also like to mention that I just read within the last few days that the price of a barrel of oil has dropped to it's lowest point in the past 1.5 years. Why is gas still at $2.20 a gallon, instead of back under the two dollar mark?
