Sorry, just had to go for the triple post. Here is an interesting story with direct results from gun ownership. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55288

Also, I would like to explore a quote from the dissenting viewpoint before I wander off to bed. "So let's just disregard all the hoopla about the race of the student responsible for the slayings. These students were not killed by a Korean, they were killed by a 9 mm handgun and a .22-caliber handgun." According to whoever this guy may be, these deaths can be attributed solely upon the weapons that were used. It is as if the guns themselves took Cho's mind hostage, forced him to capture all of these students, and pop them all 3 times. Almost as if, just maybe, Cho was actually innocent in this matter, and if it weren't for the guns he never would have killed anyone. Last I checked, a chunk of steel doesn't have psychic powers. Although sometimes I could almost believe it when it comes to cars taking over our lives. But that's completely different, right?

Wrong Wrong and Wrong First off, if you have been deemed to be mentally ill, you CAN NOT legally buy a gun. I challenge you to take a look at the form that is required that you fill out before you can purchase a gun of any kind. Second, this fucker wasn't even an American citizen, he was a citizen of South Korea. Third, people may not be born criminals, but I have yet to see any proof that buying a gun automatically makes me a criminal. Last I checked, neither myself nor dozens of my gun owning friends have killed, raped, or mugged anyone. However, it is possible to commit all of those crimes without a gun. Another note on the killer - his guns had the serial numbers filed off. What's the point in doing that unless you (illegally) bought the guns off the street? The anti-gun lobby loves spewing misinformation, as you have proven. Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, one of the main sponsors for the impending assault weapon ban, doesn't have a clue as to what she is trying to ban, as shown here: clicky How can you trust someone to regulate something that is such a huge part of our culture, when that person is completely ignorant on the subject? What if I tried to ban rap music due to its negative influence, promoting violence, drug use and disrespect towards women?

BMW's are pretty average for reliability, not good not bad. Just remember that any parts for the car, including simple shit like brakes are rather expensive and your local vato zone probably won't have parts on the shelf for you.

Come to find out he is parting out the RX7 in favor of sportbikes http://www.savethe2nd.org/saiga/tinman/bikes.JPG I'm pretty pissed off right now, I never had the chance to ride in it, and there is no way in hell i'm riding with him on that busa.

That's my fault, I no longer have the website it was hosted on. I'll get it set up somewhere else and I'll have to stop by and add the link sometime.

Greggo verbalizes what many, many people are thinking but afraid to say, due to fear of not being politically correct. I didn't hear the show that you speak of, but I heard him this morning talking about the whole Imus issue, and I agree with him. Especially his call-out for Al Sharpton to apologize to the Duke Lacrosse team that had the rape case against them DROPPED. As much as I hate talk radio, I've become a fan of Greggo.

And now that we have established that this was a scam/joke/whatever, this thread is done.

I've just learned the best way to fight global warming
copperhead replied to copperhead's topic in Dumpster
Tony, All that i see is some annoying cunt who otherwise would completely fail to sell tickets, using the hype of "global warming" to make a buck. I have started a cause. I have no intention of earning money off of it. Not exactly the evil money grubbing scumbag republican you see, eh? -
Find a shitty pop singer trying to salvage her career, give her a tour bus filled with biodiesel, and get a bunch of pot smoking baby boomers together to hold some protest signs saying how evil cars are and how we should walk everywhere or else fiery death will rain down from the heavens to destroy humanity. Way to go Sheryl Crow!

That looks like the CSCC parking garage.

Kirk, I am planning on doing pretty much the same thing with my fridge, it's the same style as yours. As for the weather stripping that you used, any tips on what kind to get, or how to apply it? I've never messed with this kind of thing before. And to the other places you guys listed, thanks. I'll give them a call when I get some time in the next couple of days.

I've got an old refrigerator in my garage, a Hotpoint made I would guess somewhere between the '50's and '70's, no clue for sure when. I'd like to fix it up some, and to start it needs a door seal. Does anyone have a clue where I could find something like that?

Exactly what I came in to say. OH NOES, there is conflict in the middle east, gas prices are going to spike! Come watch our news channel for more info! won't happen, don't care. Iran has just as little to do with our gas prices as Iraq.

My dad lives somewhere down around Cinci, I haven't heard any complaints. Sucks that you might have to uproot though, but its like you said, you've got way more to worry about than just yourself. Just make sure you talk it through thoroughly with Elana and your parents to be sure that its the best option for all. Regardless of which direction you end up taking, best of luck. I wish I had the chance to talk to you a bit more when I saw you last, its been too long since I've been able to hang out with you.

And just to bring meaning to this otherwise pointless thread, here is myself and two other CR members shooting fireballs out of the intake on my S10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKzDYTHlI-M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOLy1i3F07o

For the uninformed.... http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-1022 I have two guns that would be banned under this. One of them is a .410 shotgun, the other is a .22 rifle. Does this make any sense? How about collectible historical weapons such as the M1 Carbine, which is listed specifically? Basically, they are trying to ban away anything semiautomatic, only leaving bolt actions, pump shotguns and lever actions. Of course, stats showing that the guns they are trying to ban away aren't even the ones causing crime, as I posted earlier. BIG SCARY GUNS OH NO!

but but but thats racist!

I've known 14 year olds that are safer with a gun in their hands than most adults. It's all about what that person was taught before they were allowed to pick up that gun. Generally, a kid that has been out hunting with his dad since he was young will have been properly taught the safety rules for firearm handling, whereas Joe Blow in Bigcitymetropolis thinks he needs a Glock in case someone breaks in, then shoots himself in the leg when he goes to clean the gun because he didn't properly clear it first. Joe Blow didn't shoot himself because he is mentally unstable, but rather because he didn't have proper teaching of the safety rules. Now, lets address the topic of "assault weapons." Right now, congress has in the works another ban, only this time it will be much further reaching and without an expiration date. What will this accomplish? Making guns that I find fun to shoot, and more and more people are starting to hunt with and compete with, a little bit harder and much more expensive to buy. Will it reduce crime? No, but I'm sure it will make the world a little less scary to a small group of people that have probably never even been the victims of crime in which an "assault weapon" was used. But that's a whole different story about mental instability and baseless emotions. Per the ATF, the top five most used weapons in crime are: #5 - Glock .40 #4 - Hi-Point 9mm #3 - Bryco 9mm #2 - S&W .40 #1 - Lorcin 9mm First off, notice how those are all handguns. No OMG scary evil black machine guns there, sorry. The next thing that I would like to point out, is that the Hi-Point, Bryco, and Lorcin guns are $100 (or less) brand new from the dealer, throwaway guns. The S&W and Glock are still under $500 and easy to get. Doesn't surprise me in the least to see the Glock there, what with every rapper spouting off about shooting people wit der glock fotey. Those are some great people to look up to. Now, whats the point in regulated the majority who commit no crimes, when it makes little to no impact on the few who do commit crimes? That's like saying you have to take the CDL test to drive a honda, then limit the number of cars that can be sold in the US to deter DUI's. Does it make sense? Fuck no, neither does all of the wacky shit the Brady Bunch are trying to push through congress. I read that someone in NY had the brilliant idea of serializing ammo. To pull this off, they would need a giant database. For example, I can easily go through 500 rounds at the indoor range, and a couple thousand when I'm on private property outside. Second, if I want to completely get around this as a way of getting caught for murder, I'll go to a shooting range, pick up someone elses brass, and drop it at the crime scene, and use a revolver so that my own brass goes with me. Great idea, lets go spend a couple million on this project
