  1. Also Just in 1997 GSXR1100 Good engine these engines are always hard for us to find! Theft recovery no title, forks / wheels straight, hit us up for needs
  2. I'll throw in a free blue tortoise shell
  3. I have a used 1 @ the shop for the low price of only $7.50 for Ohio Riders
  4. If machine washable - I'd think that stuff called RIT you find in grocery and big box stores for restoring fabric color should do the trick

  6. 2 strokes...lots of fun. As for parts - I've had success sealing the cracks by using 'plumbers goop' on the carb to engine boots - won't peel off like silicone. It will be a quick fix until you locate good NOS boots. As for resources - 1. B&B Cycles in Mansfield - 419-524-6327 - Old Skool guys - gotta show up with old parts in hand, no shipping. 2. Rice Paddy Cols (no phone # sorry, google them), 3. Sharp's Cycle in Chillicothe - (no phone # again look him up), 4. Wymer's in Newark / Hebron, 5. www.sudco.com
  7. Pay a 10 yr old kid $10 to clean up the cover and tell him not to kill the chrome lol. Seriously...the best idea is walnut shell blasting on low air pressure, unless you want a matte finish to paint over.
  8. I'm voting electrical, check the switch on the clutch perch, sidestand up, make sure the wires to the battery, starter, starter solenoid, and starter button are all nice and snug. Like JRMii said there's only so many elements to a bike running so based on your comments it appears to be electrical.

  10. It was a little extra work, but fun for me, I like the challenges
  11. I'm glad to see everyone survived, sounds like the kid had too much car for his skills
  12. I was going from Delaware to Fremont after work and on rt 23 north around 5:20+/- I saw a pretty scary wreck. I was in the left lane passing a few vehicles going about 70mph. I passed the last pickup truck (brown) and was about 2 car lengths ahead when I heard an odd noise behind me like something was wrong with tires (ie locking up or roll-on burnouts). I looked in my rear view mirror just in time to see a blue smallish car like a Subaru or Neon type car pull from the right lane 90 degrees into the left lane to be struck by a big ol' black SUV - they both went rolling in the median. Lots of cars slowed down and stopped presumably to help. If I were not heading to a meeting I was already 2 hours behind getting to I would have stopped as well, however since numerous cars were there I felt there was plenty of help, so I prayed for the safety of the occupants of both vehicles. I bing'd & google'd up the hwy, city, and accident but got nothing. Can anyone else find a link?
  13. 2005 GSX1300R Front end totally wiped out, 18k miles on guages good engine and many parts from the neck of the frame on back 2005 GSF1200 Bandito - forks slightly bent, front wheel looks straight, we'll need to take it off and put the instruments on it to be sure, 5500 miles on the guages - upper fairing is shot, engine looks good (we need to replace a small cover on it to put it through proper testing). These engine kits make bolt-on sleepers for 88 - 07 GSX 600 / 750 models, also bolt right into the aircooled GSXR 1100 / 750 models 2002 GZ 250 - Front end is toast, these bikes are known for having a bad 2nd gear, ours has been tested and has a good engine and transmission. Buy parts or buy whole To make a low budget chopper, bobber, or whatever you want Need anything else? We have over 20k individual parts in stock and our prices are competitive with other salvage yards for quality tested parts. Sometimes we can meet or beat ebay prices, sometimes we cant, but you will always get excellent customer service here!
  14. LOL!!!!!!! I had those straight bars on the bike for like 10 minutes - both master cylinders are angled, so when you straighten the bars you get that
  15. Here's one of my more creative (yeah, butt ugly lol) 2-1 setups notice the plumbing 90 degree elbow lol, I don't know what I was thinking, I'll root through my computer @ home and see if I can get you the last set of pix before I sold the beast
  16. I can relate Bro lol, sometimes in my pursuit of knowledge I'll offend buyers and sellers when it was not my intention to either flame up or spread the hate
  17. My 86 ZX900A sometimes works off the button, sometimes I have to jump the solenoid... perhaps you have a similar issue?
  18. Thanks for the input guys - we have taken the time already to map out ideas for promotions for the rest of this year and next year. Some specials in the parts department include tires, oil, frames, engines, new, used and special order parts. Right now we're offering Buy 1 Get one Free on Fuel stabilizer
  19. Is haynes preferable to Clymer? The Plug wires are labeled lol, I have the corresponding wires / plugs. I want to rule out fuel starvation, so I ordered the parts to rebuilt the petcock (seriously, who came up with that name for the fuel valve?). Will post progress
  20. A couple years ago when there were more jobs than employees, burn that bridge, now that there's 10 people fighting for the job you currently have, I would just recommend treading lightly. My $.02 after taxes
  21. I'm guessing if he rides its a harley
  22. Ok, my current project is resurrecting an old 86 ZX900A Ninja. I bought it as a partially dismantled project and looks like it should be able to run. The Clymer manual shows putting the crank timing mark with the case, put the cam timing marks slightly angled towards the case ends - which I did. I cleaned the carbs and have spark on all 4 plugs. Last night I put gas in the tank and primered the carbs. I put the jumper pack on it, turned the switch, hit the button and I'm getting backfiring but no running . Does anyone have a factory service manual for one of these old hoop-d's to double check the clymer on?
  23. We have Parts unlimited brand batteries made by yuasa for PU - $67.95 retail, $61.95 OR price
  24. Lol I remember doing that myself, I put a hand made cut & weld 2-1 on my 94 VT1100C (Spirit) it had a loud but kinda muffled sound - I put a Big ole Yoshimura Round CF muff on it. The bike has low compression from the factory so if you jetted the carbs for the ebay pipes then you should be close enough to do the 2-1. If you've not jetted the carbs, get it done sure beats paying for an engine along with the loss of power, etc.
