  1. This describes what I usually refer to as "datum of one". Single sourcing information and using it for purpose. I see people do it all the time. Clueless people, that is.
  2. Dude, that article (sic) gets my sarcasm award for the year.
  3. Let's put it this way, Ronnie is no longer allowed in movie theaters with mask or face paint...
  4. Found this blurb on Google+ by a gal from Texas. But wait, did she just equate patriotism with a batch of undesirable traits? Yes she did. Intentional or accidental? Means something either way. I did notice that no one was commenting at all. Probably caught that weird part. I kinda wanted to tell her that 6000 rounds is just two day's practice to stay proficient. Not to mention that "the ammo didn't do it". Just a guess, but what I think people really fear, is that they themselves as an ordinary person, could be an ordinary person that suddenly turns into a mass murderer. They fear themselves. OK, there are some comments showing up now. The first one was from a German, which literal translation is "The spin of Americans!". Most comments are negative.edit: I'm also reading from some one (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) that perhaps the root of the shooter's problem, was simply that he was unable to find a job. Dropped out of Doctorate and was working at a McDonalds. A victim of our economy.
  5. I already predicted some one will blame techno music and Guitar Hero. edit: Just a thought. I bet no one blames Batman movies...
  6. This just in at the news desk... Theaters now considering giving free t-shirts at the movies to bring people back to the theaters. "I survived the Dark Knight Rises." satire, don't get all cereal on me.
  7. He was between them and the movie screen. A lot of them said all they saw was a dark indistinguishable silhouette.
  8. Old guys (and gals) don't give a shit. Not a good idea to screw with them.
  9. ack... yes, yes it is... Back end will kick out quickly, if not watching the road surface closely.
  10. I dunno, I had a Honda suck carburetor parts into the combustion chambers. Didn't seem to bother it much. Engine got torn down for something else. Found wrist pin keepers floating around once too. (In pieces, mostly.) I think it was the mods to hit 13,500 rpm. It wasn't a real good idea for long engine life.
  11. I don't think he made it either. Doesn't look his style? But he did post it up on his stuff. Here's his Google+ page where he posted it. The checkmark up at top means the person is verified as real by Google+. https://plus.google.com/u/0/107940613488592745009/posts
  12. I can't believe all of that missed the East side of Columbus. Barely a drop of rain. Everything is still dry outside, and needs water. Lots of it.
  13. missed me, nadda yet. The bad part went Eastward on the North side of Cbus.
  14. I'm pretty sure that born outside the country is not a US citizen by parentage unless, it's on US soil overseas. Which would be embassies & etc, and the exception given to US service men and women. Those children have to declare at age eighteen which country they wish to be a citizen of. Yes, there's a form for that. One of my friends was USA/English combo citizen until age 18 when he declared. He was born on an airbase in England. Technically he could visit England without a passport. Why? Because he had a birth certificate that said he was born there. That made him an English citizen.
  15. Joe Satriani posted this video on Google+ this afternoon. I, of course, felt compelled to share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dp6kUIFXHA
  16. Ever leave the doors open at night to get a breeze flowing through?
  17. I'm just here for the popcorn...
  18. plus or minus one, name change, or rejected applicant... It often changes to something else.
  19. Gaining a bit slower, but noticed we hit 7500 members today. New member Hobie was 7500.
  20. Lots are going up. Mine is going up 10% unless I stand on one foot close my eyes and whistle Dixie, or something equally annoying. I don't care either way, I am also on an HSA and just let it accumulate.
  21. Don't ask me why I can't embed youtube videos anymore, I have no clue... Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't edit: fixed it, thanks Chevy
  22. When I worked at a Honda motorcycle shop, we had to rebuild about every demo bike's engine. Sending it out to suddenly let rip on the local freeway, wasn't the right way to break in the engine. They would blow smoke. Rings failed to seat during break-in (or lack of). Some race engines that you only need for a few hours, that can be an entirely different break-in. But even then, results will vary...
  23. Walking Dead Season 3 Trailer - from Comic-Con http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShQz68Zkb3Y
  24. I've had engines cut out at high rpm from poor battery. But that's rather extreme. You should notice a very dim headlight when that happens. Also a symptom of bad alternator output. But high rpm problems could be a lot of things.
