  1. I have two different apps to logon to computers at home from phone. I don't use them very often, it's a pain to maneuver on the tiny phone screen.
  2. I thought a couple of those had free service. Oh well, good luck with that then.
  3. They would still know it's coming from something within range. It's not very hard to figure it out. But like jblosser said, apparently they are clueless. Have you looked at the Google Play store, that now syncs with your devices? You can set a search for apps, free, vpn, and your devices, once it knows what you have. And it would already know your devices, if you've ever used Google Play before. I saw 6 to 8 VPN apps. Just search both platforms separately and see which one's work on both. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=vpn&c=apps&price=1
  4. Here's the news video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAodKlB9rYw ok, found on youtube under "victoria highway run" - maybe six different copies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIUTXIsJz3o
  5. Arrest warrant given for the video. They found and took the bike, sent his Mom a pile of tickets (she's the owner of the bike). And are attempting criminal charges. If and when they can find him. Police on lookout for ultra-fast motorcycle suspect Man, 25, charged after motorcycle reached 299 km/h (video) Now somebody find the viral video of this...

  7. I too have considered the TW200. But I like the newer one with the huge tires. Not sure what for, just another toy I guess. edit: And I found a nice one, but it's over 1000 miles away. Argh.
  8. wut? no Boba Fett? edit: or at least a Rebel pilot jacket... come on!
  9. Seems to me I once said: "Thank you for buying quality weapons that don't go off when some drunk girl punches you in the pistol." Shit happens
  10. It might just be my imagination, butttt.... I thought Honda used to have only a few tank locks. Like each type tank lock would work with ten different keys or something. It just seemed like it was easy to find a key to work a tank lock. It is no longer that way on the newer bikes.
  11. And the ignition key is supposed to work for the tank. Unless one or the other was swapped.
  12. Ken Block - Gymkhana Five - San Francisco
  13. Warning: perhaps not safe for work or children - death depicted Two Taliban commanders wanted the same woman. So they executed her for being an adulterer. And we want this country to be a semi-NATO ally? What's wrong with them? What's wrong with us? edit: Both Taliban commanders were subsequently killed by a third Taliban commander. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d07_1341759976
  14. In Florida, some parents even go as far as taking classes in rescue swimming. Particularly in how to deal with an undertow or riptide. Even adults should swim well enough to rescue themselves if pulled out to sea. I've tried swimming back to shore against the tide, that was no fun. I've tried swimming back from about a half mile out after being stung by jellyfish. I wasn't real sure I would make it back on that one. Both legs and one arm were stung and a bit numb. Sort of swam back with one arm, it took a while. I had another friend snorkeling, get hit by a current where he shouldn't have been and pulled about two miles to sea. He swam back, he had flippers on his feet which helps a lot. There were even signs posted underwater warning him not to go any farther... which he ignored... edit: Also learned to swim straight backwards the way I came, when stung by jellyfish. If you turn, you get wrapped up and it's much worse.
  15. Water safety If you've got kids, you should read this article. Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning

  17. Good shot of a similar storm in 2008 before it got to Chicago: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/misc/AbtDerechos/images/HampshireIL2008July10.jpg From the NOAA website article about derechos: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/misc/AbtDerechos/derechofacts.htm
  18. Not much of a warning, since it's too hot to ride and will be cooling off. But asphalt roads can buckle, as well as concrete freeways. I think a bike could handle the jump, if the rider was paying attention. But here is a SUV in Wisconsin this week that didn't do too well. Definitely caught some air! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvcNuGrzkuE&feature=related
  19. I tuck my feet back on the cans or passenger pegs, and swing back down at the next stop. A single smooth motion with both feet, rather than lift each foot and put foot down. This balances quite well, and the feet can be back on the ground quicker in slow traffic. I do it in parking lots at slow speeds, since it seems to improve ultra low speed balance. I do not drag feet, unless it's moving only a very short distance. I am also weird and lazy... note: do not stick feet in moving parts...
  20. ReconRat

    DNS virus

Easy enough to fix manually if it happens. That crap happens all the time to people. edit: Or maybe I just get to see too many of them.
  21. Me again... the thingy about duplicate SSAN with dude named Ludwig appears to be false. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/ssn.asp Although Snopes is getting to be a bit hard to trust sometimes. They make mistakes also. Still working on why two SSANs... the only good true one is 042-68-xxxx. Which assumes a typo when registered in Hawaii. Also possible that the first three digit thing identifying the state was stopped prior to that. Not sure.
  22. Need to see the original SSAN application, and check the zip code given. If a typist goofed and typed "0" instead of "9", a Connecticut SSAN would have been issued instead of one from Hawaii. edit: ok, it doesn't explain why the duplicate SSAN with a guy named Ludwig from CT born in 1890 that died in Hawaii in 1981.Edit again: The SSAN from Hawaii that might have been typo'd (that looks like it's from CT), isn't the same SSAN as the one issued in CT when at Harvard that is a duplicate SSAN from somebody else in CT. Ok, now I'm confused. I give up.
  23. Nelson-Rigg large Falcon 400/500 Defender fits sport bikes 750cc-1000cc and small cruisers. Is this the exact same cover, I don't know. I currently use one on my 919. Covers the bike very well. Very tough cover.
