  1. currently on hold for a possible launch between 10am and 12noon
  2. Watch it live, this is history. First launch of the rocket that replaces the Saturn moon rocket. The first test of possibly the return to the Moon, or Mars, or wherever... http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
  3. That's pretty low mpg... RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 41.2 ft per gallon (.0078 miles per gallon) NASA's Crawler-Transporter 150 US gallons per mile (35.2 feet per gallon) (.0067 miles per gallon)

    Meteor?

Logic says.... a meteorite hit there, people quickly dug all the pieces out for big bucks on eBay. And then set a fire in the bottom and viral videoed it and called the media. Much fun...

    Meteor?

It's those shovel shaped clumps of dirt. That's a clue. Actually, the impact crater has an off-center spot of impact, and the shape of the crater should be oval or elliptical to match that, and it sort of looks reversed. Guess they didn't do their homework.
  6. Reasonable price. He's knocking a bit off for a friend. I usually try to find everything at 40% off retail. And used at roughly another 40% off. (220 in this case) Sometimes calculated as roughly half way between trade-in value and dealer resale value for used. Popular items can't be found for prices like that. I'm guessing your friend has been buying at deep discounts. The longer barrel and adjustable sights will work as a target pistol. And 38 special is affordable to shoot. Easy enough to re-sell, I don't think you can go wrong.
  7. Fun bike, but stay out of the throttle for the first year. Or at least until you scare the crap out of yourself a few times. It's a learning experience. Progress at a pace that keeps you alive. Don't trust cars and drivers. Don't trust skills you won't have right away. Learn those skills carefully, and make them work for you.
  8. ^ what JRM said. ditto
  9. Dual citizenship doesn't exist in the USA. If I remember right. If you take dual citizenship somewhere else, you automatically lose the US citizenship? The exception that I know of is children born to US servicemen and women overseas, can declare that country or the USA when they turn 18. But not both.
  10. Germany is cold. Ireland is cold and wet. New Zealand rocks. Best darn motorcycle roads in the world. I want to go and never come back.
  11. ah yes, there's the truth. Wheelies are easy, undoing the wheelie is hard.

    RIP Geocities

me three, or four, or whatever... Bet I still got one or two translated into Yahoo webz somewhere. I lost several back when Yahoo took over Geocities. A couple made it into Yahoo, linked to Yahoo email addresses, the rest were lost. Those will be gone now also. About as much fun as the rocketmail takeover that never worked for anyone. Angelfire sux, they never backed up their servers, ever.

Definitions: History of the ugg boot Nothing new really, they used to be sold as Eskimo boots, Mukluks... Oddly, a new American company sells the Ugg boots and claims "invented" them, and sues everyone else who's been making them for a century or more. And oddly, these boots are half the price in Australia, and can be found in real sheepskin (for a higher price), not fake.
  14. huh? I R confused by that. Not seeing anything like that.
  15. It appears that some of the point totals are accumulating from recently, not back tracked historically. Which would be difficult to do anyway. So like what I see on mine, I've got zero on rep given away. Which tells me that it's looking only at a very recent time frame. Which means everyone's new style totals will jump around till things settle down... And what Kawi said, still tweaking stuff... Plus the activity percentage, if it's looking at only the last few days, a day or two away, will knock that down quickly.

  17. I doubt she could identify him in a naked lineup... heheh... But it would make for good news at 11pm.
  18. dammit, you made me look that up. And it's not European Poker Tour or Emerson Power Transmissions...

You're just upset because they weren't pink Ugg boots...
  20. 3pm to 7pm, or so it said on page one per the flyer!
  21. That's scary right there. The CDC said it wouldn't spread that easy... oops They had said it would be a 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 chance of catching it from a family member. Apparently I had something like it when I was a kid, so I won't catch this one. Dunno, wait and see.
  22. Yes Kosmo, that's all true. But it appears to me that viruses do not randomly just die out all that often. They do seem to mutate and survive. Virology isn't my chosen field, so I believe you. edit: Oh, and just to make people worry more. Antibiotics work great unless: 1. You can't get the antibiotics quick enough. 2. They run out of antibiotics. 3. The bacteria becomes resistant.
  23. Ride! It won't be that cold this afternoon. Maybe later tonight on the way home, but not bad. (Yeah, I'm the one that thinks anything above 32F is ok.) I'll ride up there with anyone that wants to go (East side). Freeway or back roads, don't care. edit: Malaysian 250cc starts at 5pm Malaysian World Grand Prix starts at 6pm
  24. Years ago, I spotted an ex-girlfriend on the back of a Harley chopper, at Karl and Shrock. Going into those apartments there. I was pretty sure that indicated the neighborhood was going downhill.
