  1. I would start with the battery terminals and then check every plug you can find if you can find check that they are all properly seated and no excess moisture in any of them.
  2. I wouldn't resort to changing any carb adjustments just yet
  3. how long will it idle with choke on? can you get it to run long enough to warm engine up?
  4. Also how long ago did you change the filter and pipe? Was it running fine after the changes?
  5. Have you started it after replacing plugs?
  6. I wish I could remember where he was from but I know he mentioned riding through the Dayton area. The cross wind was brutal going across 90 last year I couldn't imagine being on a bike that small. I'll have to look and see if I have a pic of him and his bike.
  7. I kept seeing some guy on a old little Honda (I think 250????) last year on the way to sturgis I'd pass him then stop to eat or get gas and run into him again then one day in sturgis I ran into him I think he said he was from Dayton area I can't remember for sure though.
  8. I have a set of frogg toggs road toads and some boot covers and some super thin gore tex gloves the frogg toggs work great unless you have a bike where water puddles on seat like would happen on my zx14 then I'd have a wet crotch but the rest of me would be dry
  9. and stay away from premium fuel from now on....
  10. I would go buy a siphon or use a hose and get the tank as empty as possible and put in some fresh 87
  11. Buy a can of carb cleaner pull the bowls off and clean everything. I believe the seafoam can tells you a maximum ratio put it in strong it's not going to hurt it.
  12. did you pull the bowls off and check them for debris ?
  13. you check air box and inlets for obstructions? do you have a power commander?
  14. Even if your bike called for high octane I would avoid buying it this time of the year not many people out riding and buying up the premium and avoid buying it in small towns where it likely sits in the tanks for extended periods of time. People think running premium helps keep fuel system and combustion chambers clean and it actually can do more harm than good when not needed it will leave carbon deposits behind and performance will suffer.
  15. You can ride anything across the country if you have the time and feel like suffering. My buddies uncle was telling us last summer that back in the mid 60's he rode some 50cc scooter he had from Sturgis to Chicago to pick up rt66 then to LA and back to Sturgis on a freaking 50cc I had a '08 650r ninja and absolutely hated it... rode like shit, way under powered, very uncomfortable for me riding and the wife went on 100 mile ride with me and was suffering told me get something else. It is what it is a lower end entry level bike good for running around town or commuting to work but not for any real distance riding.
  16. Anyone else have a flashing house icon above the signal meter?
  17. It is 4.1.2.... what is missing as far as features??
  18. got my download a few days ago so far so good
  19. Also you can probably lower your comprehensive deductible and only have small rate increase. I went from $500 to $100 for $23 a year
  20. post count is too low it's to filter out trolls..... pm casper he may lift it for you seeing that you are actually participating
  21. You're coverage is rather low but you need to buy what you can afford. If you own a house then coverage is way too low. I would check around and get different quotes though
  22. nice looking pup enjoy
  23. I switched to cruiser.... ok more like rolling lazy boy but I will never go back to sport bikes for me the laid back feeling is so comfy.... I can do a 1000 mile day and not be sore at all with my zx14 after a day like that I dreaded getting back on the bike the next morning
  24. Ok I heard back she still has the trailer and it is $800 so let me know if you are interested.
