  1. Some guy on Svr bought a bike and didn't notice the swing arm like that. Not very observant. The sprocket must have been someone who doesn't feel maintenance has any priority in riding a bike. I'm eager to see the issues with cclay's bike. 3-4 inches of slack is incomprehensible imo. After the pics above being discussed this week I'm prepared to see anything.
  2. Does the sprocket look like this? Hopefully the swing arm doesn't look like this..' Now these guys have some problems!!!
  3. Any word on your problem yet? Maybe some pics.
  4. I highly doubt it. They are all about the shock factor. Any attention is good attention kind of thing. Plus their membership grows every time one of them has a kid or a teenager buys a shirt in the mall. If the AJ actually did clean their act up and grow up props to them. I tend to think, through experience, that people who do things like these videos showed a doomed to repeat it. Idk why they just do. 30-40 year olds showing no respect for anyone when they all get together in a group. Pathetic. Bye now.

    Yay!

I've never seen your store let alone bought anything from it. I'm shirtless!
  6. There is a guy in Willoughby who rides a enduro with his golden retriever. I wouldn't do it and my dogs would think I'm nuts! I don't know what to think, good or bad.
  7. First time I hear of that screw driver trick was from Canyon Chasers in this video. 4:23 http://vimeo.com/5409516
  8. I'm pretty sure my manual says count 21 pins (I would assume differently for other link count chains?) Then rotate 180 and check again. Wear out is 12 1/2". Wouldn't it be the same for all chain drives minus the pin count and the exact wear measurement? Wouldn't 3-4" basically be falling off the rear sprocket? I would absolutely be noticeable. Please inform me:confused:
  9. Either way you should stop before 100 miles to stretch. At least it helps me. Rarely do I not stop before the 100 mile mark. Maybe that's why many of you guys get burn out on a 400 mile day. I try to stop every 50-100 miles, depending and I fill up between 140-150. Light goes on around 145. I've never taken it more than the low 150's.

    what to do

My 2 when it's time are going to be taken care of by the vet. I'm one of those once it's dead it's gone kinda people.
  11. Talk to IP or another sponsor on here and get some prices on a chain and sprocket kit.
  12. It's been a damn good tire. We have maybe 15K or more on them and no signs of wear. I've rotated them maybe 3 times. Just to use my impact since it doesn't get used on the bike and spends a lot of time in the drawer. In the winter with the traction control they have been great.
  13. Just curious how many mile do you think are on the chain? Wouldn't 3-4" of slack just slip right off the rear sprocket by hand? I was sitting outside looking at my bike thinking about it and that's an insane amount of slack. Could it be possible you had to many links off the bat?
  14. I have Good year assurance on my regal and had great results. Living in the snow belt and driving through it when I was working they are great. Before that I was always a Michelin MXV4 fan on all my Honda's. Both aren't cheap.
  15. I was told when I went down on mine, if the damage is more than 3/4 of the value of the bike it was going to be totaled. Idk if that was just Erie Ins. or is that way with every Ins. company. Good luck to your brother to get it all back together.
  16. You can do that also. http://stores.shop.ebay.com/SV650-Racing-Parts__W0QQ_armrsZ1
  17. I don't know for sure due to I don't have stock rear sets anymore. I just looked at the manual and it looks like the rear brake lever is held on by a snap ring. I would imagine take the snap ring off and the lever should be splined? If so Move it where you want and you might have to work with your pressure switch to keep it aligned right and actuating when it supposed to. For the shifter there is the shift linkage going there is the splined counter shaft with a coupling and a 10 mm jam bolt. You will have to loosen the jam bolt, slide off the coupling and adjust it to the height you want. Then you going to have to play with the linkage to get everything back to as parallel as possible. Mind you I don't have stock rear sets any more and I'm going off memory and looking at pictures in the manual. I didn't see anything like a how to, but looking at pictures to get an idea. Plus I never adjusted mine when I had them. So don't take what I'm saying as it's going to work but that's where I would start. As long as you keep track of where and how you take things apart you should be able to put things back the way they should be if it doesn't work. If not Pm Zach. He has been in the Sv world much longer than I have. Jagr might have some insight also. Here are some worthwhile links to have. http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=54588 http://thepiratebay.org/search/sv650/0/99/0 Good Luck
  18. I might be interested. It all depends on exactly what roads your talking and the way point. I ride north and east of there a couple times a year. It's usually a 500 mile day with no time frame. Whatever though. You guys figure it out and I'll decide what I'm gonna do when you all get it squared away. Good to see you back.
  19. You keep rubbing she'll keep falling asleep. jk Just had to remark on you guys fondling each other in the train.
  20. I've been on Ro since early 08 and just joined here the fall of 08. It's 2 different groups of people for the most part imo. Both are good in their own right. I just wish I had more time to meet people and enjoy these weekend trips. Oh well. Like you said until next time.
  21. It was a good day and a good ride. Sorry I didn't introduce myself but I was there and had a good time along with you. Wish I would have stayed to camp. Next year things might be different. Nice pics and write up.
  22. Hey man give us that can't drag a knee a break. At least we can get some toe sliding in. Dave did you run your truck and camper through there? I've been looking but haven't seen any pics.
  23. It's touching. Nice pics though Dave. Look through that corner! http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage.aspx?pi=04RK00ZP050169&po=169
