  1. ssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... Don't tell anybody! It's a secret!!!
  2. Had had that happen twice last year just going over rail road tracks. I don't look at getting a little lift off a hill the same as pulling the front wheel up to do a wheelie the same. But I get your point! Bad Ass! Ghey Balls!!
  3. That's right and don't forget it! This world isn't big enough for more than one bumblebee!
  4. I try to spend more time on the edge of the tires than on the rear tire or center of the tires. Since I have had my bike, Don't know about the PO, the front has never and will never get off the ground. Just not my thing. All I can do is speak for myself. I have had so many people (riders and cagers) say stupid shit to me just because who I have been with riding and because they can't tell the difference between a rocket, sport bike and a standard. Which many of us know it's not the bike but the rider. But anyways a lot of guys , most seem to ride rockets or hyper sports, have set a bad image to anyone who rides a standard bike jsut like the biker gangs for the Harley riders. What ever though I try not to give a crap but I do get pissed off when I get lumped up in with the squids and bad asses:rolleyes:! I have said my piece! Take what you want out of it. The only thing that is going to change my mind is peoples actions. The proof is in the pudding. Screw it lets Ride!!!
  5. I prefer the naked. I rarely make any long rides on the freeway so the larger fairing is useless where and how I ride. I don't like the more forward seating of the S with the clip ons. I would rather sit up straighter than lean forward on my wrists. Sure you will get used to it but not for me. Lastly I don't like the crotch rocket look, stigma that goes along with it (whether anyone wants to admit it or not). I have always wanted a Monster 750 but decided the extra cost for the Ducati name and repair costs doubled if not tripled over the SV was just not rational. I don't have money to burn. Someday when I have the cash to burn and just have to have a Ducati I will get one. But it will be naked!! When I do get a faired bike it is going to be a sport touring bike (ST1300, Concours 14...) for the extra fairings when I do do long ride and travel the country. But it's going to be a while, 5-10 years. When my kids are grown and headed off to college and are out of the house. No offense to anyone! This is just my personal opinion and don't want to argue quality of bike or any such thing. It's a waste of time! I like what I like, you like what you like. Just ride your bike and do as you please! I will do the same:guitar: And if I can I will never sell my SV it is just way to fun of a bike and have made itself a place in my heart. My wife might have it for her bike down the road if she wants but she will get her own bike one day and my little girls bike will be handed down to one of my kids if possible.
  6. Not exactly what your looking for but here's a first gen up my way. Dollface good luck finding the one your looking for at the price you want. BTW a 650 is plenty big enough for a lot of people. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/1113758794.html
  7. No Sv= girls bike!! Didn't you know we ride girls bikes?
  8. I will stick with my foot and use my $100 for gas!
  9. The show made me want a CB750 even more than I already do.
  10. Just got done watching it. Pretty cool!
  11. There are ways around that. Helibars are a common upgrade. Some people have change the top triple to a naked triple plate to accommodate a standard bar. All with keeping the larger headlight fairing of the S. If you keep your eye open you might be able to find a used SV in some of the surrounding states. As common as some people say they are I don't really see them for sale all that often in the area. Seems like people either keep them or think they are worth more than they really are. So I would say be patient if it is the bike you want. Keep an eye out and look anywhere within a couple hundred miles or how ever far you will go to get one. Even consider an S with the expectation you can affordability make it exactly what you want and if you plan on doing any freeway/long distance riding get a faired S. All I can tell you is the rides on the freeway, even the best days, I get beat up and it takes a toll.
  12. Zip ties and electrical tape helped me get 250 miles home from southern Ohio. Stop to answer the phone and didn't put my kick stand all the way out and broke my shift lever. In my garage I have a lot of different brands of tools. The only way I could justify buying Snap-on or Matco is if the tools are making my living. For just my own personal use and to help out friends on occasion Craftsman, K-Tool, Kobalt, whogivesashit works just fine for me.
  13. What didn't you like about it? SV's only weigh about 380#. I would guess the seating position, weight on your wrists. A naked might be a little better because you sit back more and your height is more centered. You should also take the S and N for a ride, not just sit on them. They are very nimble bikes!
  14. No track. If I do end up doing track days I will have to get another SV or something. This one is going to kart my ass around for another couple years. Then I might see if my wife wants it. If not I will see what I am going to do when the time comes. Maybe save it for the kids. IDK!
  15. Just because I feel like whoring my bike out after a nice 170 mile ride today.

  20. Tomorrow morning I will be meeting a guy at Squires Castle around 9:30 and riding around the n.e. for the day. If anyone wants to meet up feel free to stop up. We should be out of there by 10am. I don't want to take a trip down south and have to ride home in rain.
