    A South African court has blocked the government from buying 11 million Chinese condoms, saying they are too small, a newspaper reported Friday.

    The finance ministry had awarded a contract to a firm called Siqamba Medical, which planned to buy the Phoenurse condoms from China, the Beeld newspaper said.

    A rival firm, Sekunjalo Investments Corporation, turned to the High Court in Pretoria after losing the bid, arguing that their condoms were 20 percent larger than the Chinese ones.

    Judge Sulet Potterill blocked the deal with Siqamba, ruling that the condoms were too small, made from the wrong material, and were not approved by the World Health Organisation, the paper said.

    South Africa has more HIV infections than any country in the world, with 5.38 million of its 50 million people carrying the virus.

  7. Reno air races - mass casualties

    I know there are many aviation buffs on here and this is one event that is on my list of must see's. Crashes at Reno are not out of the norm, today was a different story. The pilot appeared to pull up due to mechanical issues (normal event when issues are encountered), however it is believed he blacked out and the plane rolled over and nosed into the grandstands, injuring at least 75, with somewhere between 10 - 15 deaths being reported. RIP and prayers to all involved. Posted video shows events leading up to the incident.

  15. Returning to OH after 20 years

    New guy. Grew up in Columbus, but moved away 20 years ago.

    Moved to Ohio, the Sparta/Fredericktown area, in July.

    Mostly ride adventure bikes & commute, but also ride off-road & sport.

    Pretty much enjoy & appreciate anything with two wheels.

    My advise, don't get one. They are just big gimmicks and cost WAY too much. But if yupou insist on getting one, samsung makes the best IMO but lg is gonna be the cheapest because they now use passive glasses which arewhat they use in the movie theater.

    +1. Don't waste the money or spend the money you'd spend on a 3D set and get a real good HD set.

    I bought the Mrs. an ASUS at the end of last year to use at school. So far no problems. The only issues I found when I was doing research was that the battery life is less than optimal and they get a little warm. My wife has not complained about either issue.
