  1. SMU of the 21st century. They will most likely face the same penalty. Yahoo Sports was nice enough to hand the NCAA a good chunk of evidence, including cooberating interviews from 8 or 9 players and a coach. If everything they are saying is true this will clean house at "The U", not only the athletics department but the administration as well.

  2. No kidding? I'd go watch WSBK in Indy.

I didn't know MotoGP was leaving Indy. Last I heard, they were in negotiations to sign an extended contract.

That is my speculation. I can't see MotoGP with 3 US races. I don't know if there is enough interest as well as the financials that would be involved for DORNA and the teams.

  3. I just took a survey sent to me by IMS. If I analyzed it correctly, they appear to be heading toward bringing WSBK to Indy to fill the anticipated loss of the MotoGP race next year. They threw questions in about AMA but I have a hard time believing AMA would get any sort of turnout at all due to the fact they are a homegrown series and couldn't hold a candle to the organization of Dorna and WSBK. This is what I was anticipating once they announced the MotoGP / Austin, Tx contract. I believe they have may already have an initial agreement with WSBK and are doing research to make sure they would pull a good crowd.

  4. wow...new regulations coming to a concert event near you

Highly doubtful. When you buy a ticket to an event, that ticket acts as a legal waiver that releases the venue from injuries or death that result from the event to which the ticket was purchased. The only way a lawsuit could be filed is if willful neglegence was shown by the State fair or the company that built the stage. That is not to say that the families of the victims won't recieve some sort of compensation due to the sharks circling in the pond.
