My vote is for some creative editing. Although I bet it does get pretty dark inside that shit. I can only imagine what the finish on your car looks like after a few trips through that, not to mention having enough sand in your air filter to build a sand sculpture.

The Mrs and I may be in for this. The only obstacle is that one of our dogs is not doing very well.

I just remembered that there would also be a good group photo op available near by for those who attend. The museum ship Willis B. Boyer has just been renovated, repainted and renamed. It is about 3 miles from Packo's and would make a great backdrop for a photo.

Sleeping Bear Dunes near Traverse City, Mackinaw City ( the old fort, retired Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw). Other than that there aren't many stops once you start heading down the East side to Bay City where you're planning on picking up 23 / 75.

Wow. I just looked at the map, and there is absolutely NO fun way to get there. Now I know why you guys are willing to head down here to ride with us!

i mean more central in the state in general because toledo is like the upper most corner so its a haul for anyone as well as a boring ride, just my $.02

The thought was to have one in each geographic area of the state at some point in time. Toledo was picked last year because several of us who now live in Central Ohio grew up in Toledo and Packo's is a nostalgic place to eat. As is the case with any event you can't make everyone happy. Come across via 2 and enjoy the lake view and smell of dead fish.

I have to go to Grand Rapids, MI the last week of July. I was planning on riding up and then riding around the Upper Peninsula. The route I was looking at doing is http://mapq.st/oX33Ox

Not to sound like a dick but your not in the UP. You don't get into the UP until after you cross the Mackinaw Bridge. I have ridden around the the eastern end of the UP both on bikes and sleds and it is absolutely beautiful. Based on a conversation I had with Pfloydgad this weekend the Western Lower is nice but not much to see on the Eastern Lower.

Time to resurrect a meet & greet that was planned for last year but didn't happened. The plan would be to reserve the banquet room at Tony Packo's located at 1902 Front St. Toledo, Ohio. I've posted a poll for dates, each of the first 3 Saturday and Sunday's in August. Hopefully we can pull this together.

I'd figure I'd share a few observations of irony I had this weekend.

1) A newer black Cadillac sitting in a parking lot with a bumper sticker that said "Everything the government touches turns to shit"

2) While on the 555 ride I saw a sign for a church "Antioch Free Will Baptist Church".

Oregon is tiny! Route 2 goes through it (90) and if ur not careful you can miss it

If all you've seen is the Rte 2 portion of Oregon, you've only seen less than 1%. Oregon is a pretty big suburb.

I'm not seeing anything as far as the start point being changed from Mcedees in Marysville. I also only know of the one that is just off 33 / 36, hopefullythis is still go.

I plan on being there by 8:30 for the hook-up. If this is still good, no reason to respond, but if different, please poist.

There is a McD's on SR 31 just north of 33. This location is about 3 miles west of the 33 / 36 location. 31 is 2 exits before 36, I believe the exit sign says 31 North / Kenton.
