people, dont buy timers yet unless you find one for a good price. just wait til winter, everyone dumps their perfectly OK timers, warmers, gear, bikes, first born during winter. i have no idea why, but that's the pattern. if you need something to tide you over until winter, just borrow mine or any of the many timer obsessed people in our pits. keep in mind, if you break it, you get it fixed or replace it. i actually thought PIRC was this coming weekend, and was sad to find out it wasn't. i might actually do a street ride for once.

you will probably be fine in intermediate... but know ahead of time that it will be the most crowded group. during the riders meeting, they'll say "does anyone want to hook up with a racer to get a morning tow?" and when they do, you can get one of those guys to show you around. or you can do novice again and you can get put into a fast group... or if there are enough instructors, someone can go one on one with you (coaches are eager to do that cause then they can usually go a bit faster than normal lol)

i was gonna say... his dogs must be louder than shit cause my p22 outside without ear plugs is ear-ringing loud. and a suppressed 22 being a giggle machine is right... when we went shooting with tom's 22/45 + can, all 10 people that shot it had a grin from ear to ear and were giggling like 5 year olds. so much fun.

lots of people love their gsg/sig 1911-22. lots of people also love their p22's. the new hotness is the ruger 22/45 with the threaded barrel and putting a suppressor on that. if you're gonna do the suppressor, just get that going now cause you're gonna be waiting for a LONG time.

just buy a front take off tire from one of the many track whores for cheap ($30-60 depending on tire and condition). lots of meat in the center, and plenty enough meat on the edges for aggressive riding on the street. i have enough take off Q2's and pilot powers to last me for years on the street now, i'm sure someone near you has a take off they'd sell you for a fraction of a new tire that you'll just end up wearing out the center of in a few thousand miles. also, back on topic, i got to shoot my colt/umarex/walther 1911-22lr a couple weekends ago and it was a great shooting gun. i hear lots of good things about sig/gsg 1911-22's too.
