oh ya, i guess i should post something relevant. i'll be there at least on saturday and go friday if it's doable. probably not racing unless the weather is pretty nice and i feel comfortable on the "new to me" bike.

I think if you're new to riding, hopping on a low stress ride with 1 or 2 experienced and more importantly, patient, rider friends can be very helpful.

I learn by: 1. watching and by 2. trying If I try without watching or guidance, I take fooooreeeever and get so nervous, I screw it up. I'll have to get with one of these guys near me and get them to help me with it. Otherwise, the next time you guys see me, my bike will look pregnant with 15lbs of resin in the belly pan lolololol

since we're talking about communal repairs, does anyone know how to fiberglass fairings? the bottom fairing mr. gracious R1gagger gave me has a big scrape on the bottom that needs fixed and i have a fiberglass repair kit, just no idear how to use it.

if you do fall, be slow witted and have dull reflexes. that way, by the time you realize you've crashed and tense up and do something stupid mid-slide/flight/tumble, the slide/fall/tumble will be over and you will be mostly unharmed (provided you are wearing suitable gear and you aren't about to hit a guardrail/post/unicorn). your bike on the other hand... well, that's what insurance is for. if you get a wild hair up your ass and want to ride fast, get off the street and do track days. then you can enjoy riding quickly on the street, moar safely like.

all kidding aside, i'm interested in your perspective on this. say you amassed some amount of wealth for your kids and your grandchildren and so on and so forth. how would you execute the handing down of wealth in such a way as to ensure they don't turn into entitled drug addled ingrates? in other words, what would your plan be to hand off a bunch of money to snot nosed bastards and keep them grounded? i'm not being snarky, sarcastic, "did they find the camera?", etc. completely serious sincere question.
